Hi everyone,I’m trying to register as a Facebook developer, but I’m getting the following message when I try to enable developer mode:''You can't make this change at the moment. This is because we noticed you are using a device you don't usually use and we need to keep your account safe. We'll allow you to make this change after you've used this device for a while.''This is my personal device and I use it regularly to log in to Facebook. I really need access to developer features for my work, and I’m currently stuck.I also saw this reply in another thread ( link ), which suggested sending a private message. I did that, but I received a response from Meta Store Support, which doesn’t seem to be the right team. Can someone from the developer support team help me resolve this issue or let me know how to verify my identity? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi, I’ve tried multiple times to get help with login issues for my Facebook account. Apparently, I set the two factors authentication access in the past, but I don’t remember having done it, nor the app I chose. Now, I carefully keep the access through my smartphone on, but I’m not able to access the website from desktop in any way (nor using the Facebook access for any other website).I have tried to deactivate the two factors option from the Account Control Center, but the app doesn’t give me an alternative way to access it at all. I have tried to do the email recovery process many times, but I’ve been answered that for privacy reasons I cannot receive any temporary code.I desperately want to regain access to my account, also for business reasons. Can you help me solving this issue?
Hi Meta Team, I’d like to raise a concern on behalf of users who are unable to permanently remove certain apps or games from their library on the Meta horizon app and headset. Even after uninstalling, these titles still appear in the account’s library, which can be confusing, especially for users who no longer wish to see or access them. While we understand that uninstalled apps don’t consume storage, having the option to permanently hide or remove them from the library would greatly improve user experience and organization. Please consider adding this feature in a future update. It would mean a lot to users who want more control over their content.
Having just recently been exploring the Quest 3 for introduction to seniors in memory care and assisted living, I remain shocked that there is no way to demonstrate VR experiences to adults who are either incapable of learning or don't see any value in learning complex controller operations. I've explored extensively non-gaming apps and processes to realize that there is currently no way for me to exercise complete operational control to demonstrate VR to a 2nd (or multiple) headset(s). Sure there are lots of ways to cast to a flat screen - but NO WAY to cast to a second VR headset and demonstrate the value of VR without also teaching complicated controller operations. Why? Is it technically just not possible or is Meta (and other developers) just missing the boat.Further I note that YouTube "Co-Watch" doesn't allow display of 360 videos and Meta discontinued "Watch Party" last year. I've explored VR remote desktop, Skybox, BigScreen (flat screen only - n
Using Hand guns with the Quest 3 controller is hit and miss (literally), versus the Quest 2 controller alignment.Hold the Quest 3 controller level and upright and you will find the pointer is pointing upwards by around 20 degrees and off to the right by some 5 degrees, versus the physical position of the grasped controller in your hand. Many individuals have posted on support forums and on individual games sites about this Quest 3 issue - I suggest a universal solution should be in Quest 3/3S settings, as this was introduced with the Quest 3.Add a "tick box option" to "align" under Quest 3 settings/controller to align pointer direction with the actual position the controller is held (like a held pistol). This would introduce a fixed offset in pitch and yaw to zero pointer direction with the hand for pitch and yaw.As an alternative, more advanced option: add a menu option to calibrate alignment while pressing the 'A' button in the menu option (force pitch to 0 and yaw t

I work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. As immersive technologies like Meta Quest become increasingly common in educational settings, ensuring accessibility for students with sensory disabilities has become a critical challenge. In our classrooms, we are actively exploring the use of VR as a learning environment, but we have encountered a significant barrier: the inability to display real-time subtitles (closed captions) across VR applications for deaf students. To address this, we propose a system that integrates with AmiVoice, a speech-to-text API widely used in Japan, to generate real-time captions. The challenge lies in rendering these captions as a persistent, head-locked overlay that stays visible regardless of which VR application is currently running. This would require access to system-level overlay capabilities, or the use of special APIs not currently available in the public Meta SDK. We respectfully request:- Guidance on how to pursue offic
Suggestion: We want a setting that the Players/Users can offset controller tracking Problem: The quest lineup has locked controller rotation and location. Sometimes resulting in factory defects like controller offset Problem: Many apps conflict with MetaQuest tracking and there is no way Meta devs/Game devs can accommodate for all applications, VDesktop, Steam link, ect. Problem: Players/Users need this functionality for the wide range of applications including gun stocks, tracking errors, and cross application tracking comparability. Solution: make a setting button, much like the boundary selection space in passthrough, that has the hand geometry in stasis and transparent. Hold controller in orientation and location desired then hold trigger or grip to set rotation and position of offset. Result: No more customer calls about tracking offset issues and added functionality for all Players/Users
Hello Meta team and community,I’m reaching out on behalf of a colleague who just bought a Meta Quest 3s and is incredibly excited to explore everything in VR. However, he has a unique challenge: he was born without a thumb on his right hand, which makes it difficult or impossible to use standard hand gestures that require thumb-index interaction. We’ve included photos of his hand to illustrate how he approximates these gestures with his remaining fingers. Unfortunately, the current hand-tracking system doesn't recognize these movements.Request:We would love to see an accessibility mode or a user-defined gesture calibration tool that allows people with non-standard hand anatomy to map their own gesture equivalents. This would be life-changing for many and open up VR to a broader community of users. My colleague would be honored to work with the Meta team to test or provide further feedback. We also have a video ready to share showing how he gestures in real time. Thanks for considering acc
Hello, was just gifted the meta quest 3 w Batman - totally psyched to try everything with this platform! However, my husband who was born without a left hand - cannot play a lot of the games. This hurts my heart. He has an Xbox controller that he can add a flapper gear to the bottom of on his right hand side so that it acts as a left handed control. I was hoping someone would be able to come up with a similar solution here. I get it, not everything is for everyone - we all have certain limitations, but in something that is supposed to open the world, it should open it for all. There are a lot of ppl out there like my husband, enlarging the customer base, generating income - just a thought.
I recently discovered that the key feature of my Portal Go has been discontinued. You can no longer utilize voice command via "Hey Portal" or "Alexa". This is honestly unacceptable for a device that cost as much as it did and didn't he l even have a 5 year life in my household. The Portal Go was literally advertised as a hands free device that allowed the user to use voice command for feature such as music playback, device control, calendar, video calling, etc. This might be a fun feature for some, but for others with mobility impairments (like myself) it was the whole point of the device. To essentially end of life a device for people who have just bought it at full price in the last few years is a slap in the face. At the very least, compensate your dedicated users in some way or expect that all these people will be turned away from purchasing your products in the future in fear that you'll pull the rug out from under them with no real product longevity. I don't mean to rant and I wo
After a lengthy chat today with a rep from Meta, I understand that Meta have removed the Alexa and voice feature from the portal devices. Like many others, as a family, we used this portal daily to ask for updates on the weather etc… and to contact family and friends as well as each other. It was a much loved and valued resource in our every day home life. I can’t understand how it can be ‘removed’ once paid for and advertised etc… how this can happen is ludicrous. I understand a new feature is being added soon to replace the Alexa, but what about now while there is no voice assistant at all. I just can’t see how this can happen and if so, we should be entitled to a refund surely? I purchased mine in 2021 but still - used it daily. So disappointed - and so are many many more it seems.
I recently found out that my Meta Portal has lost nearly all of its key features. "Hey Portal" is gone. Alexa support is gone. The smart home integrations? Also gone. What was once a useful, hands-free device has been reduced to little more than a screen with video calling—and even that feels uncertain. This is completely unacceptable for a device that was marketed as a smart assistant. Many people bought Portal specifically for its voice controls—whether for music, reminders, video calls, or accessibility needs. Now, those features have been unceremoniously removed, leaving users with a device that no longer does what they paid for.For those with mobility impairments, the loss of hands-free functionality is especially damaging. The Portal was supposed to be a convenient, voice-controlled hub. Now, it’s barely functional for its intended purpose. And what about the people who bought it at full price, expecting it to last? Killing off features this quickly, with no alternative or compens
I am developing an application for Oculus Quest 2 that converts audio into text, but I have encountered some issues. I tried using the SpeechRecognition API on a web page, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with the Oculus browser. I also tried installing Chrome, but that didn’t work either. I’ve explored alternatives like Vosk and PocketSphinx, but I haven't had success with them so far. My question is: is there any API or framework compatible with Oculus Quest 2 that would allow me to perform voice-to-text transcription? Any recommendations or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
My wife is fully disabled (ALS amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) so she can't contro; anything with her hands, but I would like to use metaquest2 for her to do some "virtual" tourism ( I am using "wander" application). So I need to see whta she see, and also to control the movement that normally I do with the hand controller, but she is wearing the helmet and can look around. Is it possible?
Hello Community,I am a blind Quest user and I am trying to make it accessible by my own, since it is not accessible by default. I live in Italy. Do you think installing Google TalkBack via ADB it's worth it? Supporting ADB, I guess Meta Quest is Android based, so it should fully support TalkBack. Any workarounds to have it enabled?
Coming from a former quest 2 and moving to a quest 3s, the pro controllers I have at the moment do not pair, at least not yet. All I ask from the coming update is to add this Backwards compatibility with the controllers to the quest 3s, the headset itself is a Semi-welcomed release regarding tracking (hand-tracking works good btw), has added QOL, and all current features, (technically higher performance thanks to the lenses going back to the quest-2 style ones which are smaller), but the only and excruciatingly crucial part of what made quest 3's additional success was the backwards-compatibility of not only games (that would seem obvious enough) but Controllers like quest 2 or quest pro's, and (Both arguably helping those who don't like the quest 3's controllers move-forward to it regardless). It has seemingly gone absent on the quest 3s, even if it is the updated/cheaper model that would be likely to get bought compared to the quest 3 especially by beginners on VR, th
Hi,Im just trying to find some API documentation on how to get App sales, entitlements, etc. from our Developer Oculus account without having to manually download the CSVs. I can't seem to find any documentation in regards to this - wanted to ask does an API exist for this?
There is an option on soma games but I’ve had to return countless others cause they’re unusable with my disability. it is the click to hold, like in the walking dead. I’ve had to return resident evil, Peaky blinders, metro… so many others I can’t remember.
Hello, my mother and I both used Alexa as an accessibility alternative. Are you developing a new app that will work with the meta portal to help with accessibility issues? The voice command of Alexa was fantastic.
I use an iPad attached to a keyboard. Whenever an app can only be viewed in portrait mode, I have to turn it around and hold it awkwardly while using the app. If I want to type something, I have to turn it back to landscape and twist my neck to see what I’m typing. Is it easy enough to make the Meta Quest app respond to the orientation of the iPad? Other apps can do it. Please…
All VR, MR, AR and smart glasses have the ability to move a mouse cursor on the screen. But none can click a mouse button without a controller, wrist band or ring. That assumes the use of hands. What can quadriplegics do? For that matter, how useful are those devices to a mechanic or surgeon or stick fingered chef? This my pat pending solution. I hope you like it.https://drive.google.com/file/d/15pW8ISkCIl-BzL_hv1q-yiQsHHjOdwvp/view?usp=drivesdk
