I have a new idea about creating a way people can hear a comment that was written in the comment section of apps. It can help visual impaired, hard of hearing or deaf people hear others voices in the comment section on every app. I personally watch movies and shows with (Closed Captions On). It makes it Easier to understand when watching and more Enjoyable when listening. It should be optional for user to listen or mute (comment mic 🎤) depending on user's choice in comment section of any app they use. Who can help me with this idea?? I know this could be great for the world. Like RIGHT NOW READING THIS MAY SOUND DRY IN YOUR HEAD BUT, if you had the options to hear how dope I sound telling you about it...you know it's cool! Also, sometimes I personally don't have time to search a bunch of emojis all the time.,Like right now, I have cook dinner! 🍲🫶🏼🤗
Sorry for the long title. The experience viewing 3D side-by-side videos is bad. The video isnt centered in my view and it looks bad.If there was a setting to adjust the distance between the two halves of the video, it could mitigate this problem.
HI my name is NIkhil Dhage. I am an legally blind visually impared individual. I recently bought the meta quest 3. I was interested in exploring VR/XR to see if it could possibly help me for my needs. The intial setup was very hard as i could not see the menu or setup screen because it was too far away and small. I fumbled aaround trying to see if i could change some settings. I found the accessibility options but was disappointed to see there was no system level magnification built in. That is is huge benefit to me so i can zoom in and out of apps and programs very easily. I also was was disapointed to see there was no setting or built screen reader to read aloud feature for text-to -speech. I can use operating systems without read aloud , but if i can't bring the screen close to me or go close to a screen or window text-to- speech helps me navigate. I have other friends that have used VR/XR headsets like the quest , but sadly because of my vison disabili
Hi there!First off, I will identify myself as a low vision user. I love the ability to make screens larger in VR an be able to enjoy experiences and entertainment. While I think that there could be a lot of improvements made to the accessibility menu in meta quest OS, the one that I would like to suggest today seems like something that could be implemented immediately with little effort. Please, please, please add the ability in settings to turn off the auto sizing of windows when you pull them closer to you. I understand that for the average user, this is a nice touch to keep everything in front of you when moving the GUI around. However, for myself, and potentially anyone who has a vision impairment, the larger the better. If I can pull windows closer and they remain at the scale they were, game changer and huge improvement to my experience! Or another approach would be to allow users to 'scale' or 'zoom' elements to any size regardless of where they are in Virtual space. It's not just
how long dose the sycning take for me to confermer
My suggestion is that for the blind, you can use the audio feature that Meta AI will later develop using the volume or power function buttons which can be used for the blind, so that it can help them in using Meta AI.
I am legally blind and am unable to read most configuration screens and many non-moveable game screens. I would very much like to be able to zoom in to or magnify these screens so that I can read them.
I am an assistive technology specialist and I recommend the meta glasses to many of my visually impaired clients and was wondering if I could offer some feedback for consideration. The app has a difficult time reading documents from top to bottom. The command “look and read verbatim and word for word” is incredibly wordy and doesn’t work consistently even when clients remember the exact wording.
Hey everyone. Thank you so much for creating these absolutely amazing products. The quest 2 amazed me and the quest 3 is so much more exiting. There are quite a few things that keep disabled people from enjoying most of the games. They mean the world to us, because with the games and vr experience, we can increase our life quality immensly. I developed simple straps, that can help prone with boo movement in their hands a lot. Because of my disability, I'm not able to move my fingers. I've gotten past a few obstacles, by attatching the controllers to my hands with rubber bands + special gloves on the middle fingers, that I came up with, helped me to use the grab button. The problems I still face in most games is climbing. It would be so great, to have kind of sticky hands, to be able to touch a part of a ladder and let go workout using a button. Or to provide an option to just slide up ladders. Something that most games have, but sadly quite a few don't, is the option to tog
My Facebook got hacked. I have reached out multiple times to Facebook, including buying 2 verified subscriptions with no help from either enhanced support I just get put on hold. I’ve done the recovery said my id was approved and never got a follow up email. I’ve had all my friends report it probably about 20 reports saying it’s been hacked and nothing. This isn’t a brand I’d like to support when it is this hard to get either my account back or deleted. step up and be a better brand meta. This is NOT ok. I’ve seen to many people with this issue.
Is it possible to have gesture communication feature where we use sign language for interaction on Quest either for apps with chat feature or app accessibility ?

I wish that you could select all of the videos and that would be great because to clear some space
Lets say that you're playing a game, and a hacker/developer added a system that allowed back door access to your headset's diagnostics (CPU/GPU levels, Framerate, Refresh Rate, Average Prediction Rate, etc.) Would that scenario I just described possible at all? Please let me know!
Hello - this is an idea more than anything, a request for a feature for smart glasses - it would be really cool to enable live captioning for the deaf for conversations. Given all that the VR and smart glasses for Ray Ban /meta can do already this doesn’t seem like it would be difficult at all but could be a huge win for those who are deaf or hard of hearing talking with people and understanding conversations.
I want to get legal documents uae golden visa and passport migration for privacy reasons and some dissibility reason I can't complete my project and I want a payment option also can you help me with my small issue
Dear Support Team,My name is Richard Landry, and I am a computational physicist with a deep passion for gaming and technology. I am writing to inquire about possible adaptations or solutions that would allow me to use the Xbox Adaptive Controller with the Meta Quest VR system.Due to a hemorrhagic stroke, I have paralysis on the left side of my body and rely heavily on my right hand for most activities, including gaming. This condition has significantly limited my ability to use traditional gaming controllers. The Xbox Adaptive Controller has been a fantastic tool for me, offering the customizability and accessibility I need. However, I am very interested in exploring the immersive world of virtual reality with the Meta Quest.I understand that the Meta Quest and the Xbox Adaptive Controller are designed for different platforms and have distinct input methods. Nonetheless, I am hopeful that there might be some way to bridge this gap, whether through PC VR streaming, third-party software,
So I’ve been trying to connect my account for hours cause of the switch from oculus app a year ago. I haven’t played my quest in over a year and then there is this massive switch to the meta format. I have been trying to pair it but it won’t use my original email so I did a different one but it continues to glitch. I read to factory reset my oculus so that it would pair well that worked but now I lost all of the games I have purchased even though they were backed onto the cloud of my old account. For some reason the old one is glitched but has all my games and idk what to do.
Hi,I'm working on a project for disabled people (deaf / blind) to allow them to go to the cinema with friends and familly and enjoy the experience with appropriate subtitles and audio description. For audio description, a simple smartphone with earbuds suffices but for subtitles holding the phone in front of you is not a viable option.I wanted to know if Meta Quest is capable of displaying texts anchored to an object at more or less 10m distance.Do you know any such application? Thanks in advance.Yannick
Hi All, thought I'd ask in here about whether there is any work going on for a user interface for people with limited or no use of their arms because of a thread in the Talk VR section of the forums? If we think back to the Gear VR, selection could be made by holding your gaze on buttons. The Apple Vision Pro does use this for some things, you don't always have to tap your finger and thumb and going forward, all headsets will have eye tracking soon enough. Interested to hear what people think. Thanks. https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Talk-VR/Can-Meta-Quest-pro-be-used-by-people-who-are-disabled/td-p/1182058
Hello, i'm a visually impaired quest 2 user.I was wondering if there was any planned testing to introduce a zoom function to enlarge portions of the screen in windows or fullscreen vr apps, as without zoom, some text gets very hard or impossible to read even on the biggest font size.Is there any way I could suggest or help test a feature implementation?
Hi I need to detect some objects in Oculus 3 like fire extinguisher etc and need to operate it. Please let me know how to configure it. I have seen Vuforia have computer vision support but how to use it in Oculus OpenXR
Hi there! Welcome to our discussion forum focused on accessible design in VR. Over the years we’ve been reading and learning from the Oculus developer and customer community about your needs in terms of accessible and inclusive content on the Oculus platform. We’ve created this forum discussion as a home for all developer conversations around accessibility. Here, you can post your ideas, share your challenges, detail your needs, ask for feedback, and find others to test your applications and features. We encourage all developers to create inclusive and accessible applications and try different things when it comes to building VR applications. We are still in the early days of building standards for accessible VR and are thrilled to see our developers implement interesting ideas and challenge themselves to solve difficult problems. We at Oculus are excited to explore the frontier of accessible design through the inclusive VR worlds built by our community. Together, we can build VR apps tha
Hello everyone and especially the people who are in charge of the technical development of the Quest 3,We're developing a non-commercial application for visually impaired people. The goal is to obtain the image representation in the quest 3 as the real image of the visually impaired person. Through this application that person can show and and let his employer experience what his real visual limitations are. The app is almost done but there is one big hurdle we can't cross. We can't figure out how we can create a visual acuity filter for the quest 3, one that is adjustable to the degree of the person in question. We don't have access to camera software or have the possibility to do in post-processing. We desperately need some help and advice. This application has a noble purpose, your help will be a great help to thousands of visually impaired people around the word !!! Many thanks in advance, Bart.🙏
Add a trupple or quadruple tap setting to disabke mounted cyros in quest link needed for non vr games with gamepad
