PTC v63 Release Thread

Thanks everyone for all your feedback on our previous builds, several bugs were identified in PTC v62 and the solutions for some have shipped, while others are on the way!

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v63 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v63 jump on over to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v63" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v63 issues too.

It's best if you can post each bug you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions and let us know if you see any issues. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

why is scoped storage leaving you have no idea how much fun me and your community had downloading mods and i was just wondering if there was something that you brilliant minds down at meta could do about it. Standalone modding was one of the best things on my meta quest and a lot of us including me can not afford the equipment it take to mod with a computer. no offence. so the big message is everyone loves standalone modding.

you must despise your community because you take away one of the best features on the quest headsets STANDALONE MODDING with the new v63 update modding has gone out the window and more than a few games on the quest are made to be modern and the you have play, create, and explore and your taking away our freedom the Play with mods CREATE new experiences in the games we play and EXPLORE different mods to PLAY with and to CREATE a different feel to the game and EXPLORE new ways to play your games. in the end we all want standalone modding back.

akaelijah124 V65 AND V66 are the lastest Version, press forward on these complaints. Meta have fixed the issues modding is working. I was able to put discord on my Quest 3, that's modding. Meta pressing forward on stuff over the Horizon.

On my meta quest 2 is not not working

June 9, 2024

akaelijah124 @Either meta quest 2 is not getting the support for modding or the Version 65 is not working correctly on meta quest 2.

Hey there akaelijah124! Thank you so much for reaching out about this. We would be happy to help you with this, has the headset been dropped or neglected? Or could you give a brief description on what exactly is not working so that we can help you get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible.

We look forward to hearing back from you soon!
