PTC v69 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v69 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v69:

1) For issues: Go to our
Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v69" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v69 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

Meta AI works if I double click the meta button on my right controller but I know someone who said the wake word is working again but no on mine?  Not sure why though none of the other features you all see are not on my Quest 3.   I'm in Missouri, the Midwest of the US.

I hate to say it, a factory reset or official website for manual update from pc to Quest might work. Or maybe a bug fix will come by

    Trainfield

I got the problem 3 weeks ago. It doesn't keep position.

So direct touch becomes much worse. Very annoying.

I know that the windows layout, your able to move it out of the menu bar, pinch outward, and another window can replace the space that you pinched outward. But your able to add it back on the menu bar by pinching it forward until it shows the shadow part

I hope that explains a little bit of the good thing that comes with it.

Anonymous I have trouble seeing clearly at this distance. Not because of my eyes. The proportions are not right. I can drag the window closer, but that doesn't change the proportions. I also think the new window layout should be optional. The old one was much more user-friendly. Especially for newbies. I like the idea, but every time I navigate, there are three windows open that I have to close. Not ideal, but that's not my decision.

Here are some possible reasons why the resolution may have changed after V69:

    1. *Graphics rendering updates*: V69 may have introduced changes to graphics rendering, such as improved anti-aliasing or supersampling, which can affect resolution.

    2. *Display settings adjustments*: The update may have altered default display settings, like resolution scaling or zoom level.

    3. *New rendering modes*: V69 might have introduced new rendering modes or options that change how graphics are rendered, impacting resolution.

    4. *Performance optimizations*: The update may have included performance optimizations that alter resolution to ensure smoother experiences.

    5. *Bug fixes*: Resolutions changes could be a result of bug fixes or stability improvements.

    6. *Preparation for future features*: V69 might be laying groundwork for future features that require changes to resolution or graphics rendering.

If you're experiencing issues or prefer the previous resolution, you can try:

    1. Reaching out to Meta support for assistance.

    2. Providing feedback to Meta to help them understand user preferences.

Keep in mind that resolution changes can be complex and dependent on various factors, so it's always a good idea to explore options and seek support if needed.

I feel like we might be able to customize our font in the near future, maybe resolution
