PTC v69 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v69 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v69:

1) For issues: Go to our
Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v69" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v69 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

Right now I have Version 68.0.0.566.364.630553683

    Not using PTC V69

But Automatically power headset to update is enabled, normally I don't have that option unless there are updates are being pushed as soon it's available. There might be more changes happening

Using V68 and none of this is showing for me still.  Sent ticket the other day and crickets fro Meta as I also had another issue to address.

As above person, spoke too soon, it's at the top of the experimental tab.  It showed up when I went back to PTC V69.

I am still waiting on an answer about the multiple windows.  Is there an option to enable/disable this function.  Yes I understand most of you want it, but at my age, only one window open at a time is enough and I feel like Meta isn't considering both sides.  This really should be an option but since Meta is not responding to tickets I thought I would ask in here.  Multi tasking to me reminds me too much of work and I retired 10 years ago.  I just think it's a bit ludicrous that I have to x out of 10 different windows to just open a meditation app.  Maybe it's just me but when you get to be my age, you can only concentrate on one thing at a time.  And even if I was able to multi task, I probably wouldn't want to.  So yea, this function should be an option for each user to enable or disable; unless I'm overlooking that option somewhere.

Just to add ... Does anybody even have the Content Adaptive Brightness feature yet in experimental? It seems like this is the most mythical feature that you don't see anyone talking about or showing videos or anything ....I assume it's not being released because it's gone back to drawing board or something ?

The mystical on YouTube showed it in one of his videos but I have not been able to find it on my headset as of yet.

BTW:  while in immersive you can say Hey Meta enter passthrough and she enables passthrough.  However you still have to manually go into immersive mode.  I"m assuming that it will eventually go both ways and the commands are still being worked on.

Off topic, earlier when testing meta ai I said hey meta and although meta ai did not respond Alexa and Siri did.  Go figure.

Does the seamless multitasking do away with the multiple windows?  Although it should really be an option for us to toggle between multi and single because at the moment like if I click on quick settings, then click on setting from there it pops up another window, and then when I click on experimental there's a 3rd window and so on.

Well, I mean you could simply close the windows that you don't want opened.

But no there is currently no feature that allows you to Disable open in new window.
