PTC v71 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v71 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3. 

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v71:


1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v71" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v71 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

      I have rolled out of the PTC and won't enable it ever again. There is no point being in it. All you get early are the bugs, none of the features and most of the time the bugs won't even be fixed in the offical release.

        New update on the Meta Horizon app, it's will automatically detect your headset to pair if your not in the app

        just saw the official v71 release notes... im on ptc v71 since weeks and dont have any features mentioned in the official notes. i dont get the thought behind this system: im willing to beta test new builds but the features getting rolled out randomly anyway. im "testing" a empty v71 shell, pointless.

          All I'm hoping that all of the new features from V68 to V71 will be showing on November 4th. I have a feeling the pair controllers in headset was being perfected more before it got released, even though it's a V68 feature.

            Do you want to know why Meta never tells you what's in the PTC releases? It's because you're not beta testers; you're what the software industry calls regression testers. Meta wants to know whether they've broken old features in new releases, and you're the guinea pigs.

              After the latest update on public ( non ptc) My controller became unusable. My quest just 1 month old, and my country is unsupported by meta replacement😭 ruined my new quest 😭

               

              My question is, do the updates brought by ptc and non ptc bring firmware updates for the controller?

              MetaNinjaTurtle Would it be possible to start an announced thread for the release version of v71?
              And why why wouldn't it published "automatically" if a new PTC or Release comes up?
