PTC v71 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v71 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v71:

1) For issues: Go to our
Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v71" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v71 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

PTC is on. No update that currently fixes the problem with high-hitting fans. My quest has never been so loud. I know with PTC is always a risk that something does not work correctly, but this is a fatal bug that has to be fixed immediately.

Trainfield  Your PTC feedback is great but nothing's going to get fixed by just complaining about this here, in a user forum.  Please make sure to file a bug report (report icon on Quest home quick menu panel).  Maybe even let meta support know as well.  These are the best things to do to help make sure that bugs are squashed before updates go final (non-PTC).  Thanks mate and cheers.

awajg  Sorry but I don't think you can do this with the quest home bug report (just screenshots).  You probably could send vids to meta support when you start a support ticket though.  You could also post vids on your YouTube channel (if you have enabled one) and give us a link so we can watch/comment on this.

TomCgcmfc I've already done it, but thanks for the hint. The fan just nerfish. I think I have not felt a bug as disturbing as this. 😞

Hello Please read this and fix it in v71:

Hello I am a quest 3 user and noticed that for many many people (me included) the tracking starts glitching and I tried literally everything and I have enough of the Support which I asked 3 times, I also bought another Quest 3 and It is the Same problem. So please if this is a Software issue please keep this Issue in mind and fix it, because some of the Games become unplayable because of it.

Kind regards to the Software update Devs!
