PTC v71 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v71 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v71:

1) For issues: Go to our
Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v71" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v71 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

USB port water/debris warning is back. I'm getting it if I restart my pc while quest 3 is connected

Hmm? Is that means we will be able to pair controllers in the headset through the settings like they mentioned on V68 but never shown up.

The only way I could pair a controllers in a headset is when the controllers were unpaired and the headset was factory reset afterwards. At the controllers pull tab part in the headset when you setup a new headset, wait for 3 mins and it will asked to pair a controllers

I'm on Meta Quest 2 and this issue exists on every firmware I've tried since Voice Commands was replaced by Meta AI, up to and including 71.0.0.437.522.658016517...  With my locale set to "English (UK)" the Meta AI voice selection screen shows only one voice I can choose from and the system doesn't actually use that voice after I choose it - it uses one of the American voices instead.

I can't see v71 on the release notes. Perhaps this is a regional-related thing. Can you share the actual link instead of a screen shot? Or if links are not allowed, share a screenshot of the link, please.

jimmie.312807 If your login through your account, logout to see the release notes. Some reason, I have noticed this for a long a time, you can't see it until it's officially released, for the release notes to be seen on the login account.

Even when logged out, I get sent here from your link, which still shows v69 as the latest release.
