PTC v72 Release Thread

Hey Everyone,

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v72 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v72:

1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v72" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v72 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

    YouTube audio sounds different from each other, I believe. Open windows layout in the browser, is different audio bass from keeping thee browser open as normal.

    After a factory reset on PTC V72,  Passthrough is being moved

      Still not like the 5 million windows that pop up.  several of us have requested a toggle button.  That would solve a lot of issues.  Also why do I have to keep redrawing boundaries after every update?  Other than that the new layout in settings seems easier to navigate.

        Oh and please fix the edit button on here so we can edit instead of posting again but forgot to mention thank you thank you thank you for implementing the function for the photos and videos taken off of my Meta RayBans to automatically load onto the Quest 3.  That in itself saves me a lot of time, especially if I want to send multiple videos and photos over.

          Thanks Meta for letting the icons apps on the dock bar to be able to be opened when pinched and moved anywhere on in our Passthrough. V71 and below was not able to do it. Now the browser can be open by a pinch and move.

            Wouldn't it be cool to have colour themes so you could choose a color and it would automatically apply to the menu? It'd be better than the Grey to dark Grey colour scheme we have now. Also, a suggestion, when you open your menu in a game, instead of the game card opening automatically, have it pinned to the right so that your window configuration won't be messed up when you open your menu in a game, but still allow users to exit by pressing the game icon.

              Also, the updating card in the shutdown menu hasn't been updated to the new UI...

                I have tried wifi 6 5ghz which works well. But if I use 6e 6ghz every hour or two I get a message saying WiFi connection lost and any game I am playing soon fails or has issues like lack of voice chat. When will 6ghz 6e connections be stable?

                    hatsuratsu  Nowhere in the first post does it mention testing new features. They want you to regression test existing functionality to see if they have broken something.

                    I quote: "We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop"
