This is the second time you guys have messed up Quest Link this year and we're not even halfway through February.

Again... there seem to be Issues with the last Microsoft Update KB5074109 (01/2026) for Windows 11. Microsoft and nVidia are investigating, so it's not only a problem of Meta and their Link App.

In standard non-VR environments there are problems with sudden black-screens, grafics artifacts and yes, performance issues. So stay tuned and don't put you fingeras at Mata alone. These problems seem to be much more complicated and microsoft states: It's all about security! Whatever that means...

Hello, so please explain why I have catastrophic performance on Dirt Rally 2, Project Cars 2, Half-Life: Alyx when playing linked games, but they work perfectly fine with Virtual Desktop. For your information, I have the latest Windows updates and Nvidia drivers, and I have no issues with any of my games running flat.

"Investigating" means they couldn't point a finger on it for now...
As I've wrote, there seems to be a very complicated problem to solve, initiated by microsoft.
And if it works fine with virtual desktop, where is your problem at the moment?

I initially experienced a persistent frame rate lock at 72Hz in Virtual Desktop on Quest 3. No matter what settings I changed (refresh rate, bitrate, SSW on/off, router settings), the frame rate would not recover, and sometimes the screen briefly flashed white when the lock occurred.

What has that got to do with Quest Link?

Yes that has nothing to do with this issue sorry dude.
That is probably not even an issue with Virtual Desktop, and sounds more like a networking issue. Id suggest to you that you ask on the VD discord.
Unrelated. (comment for that other guy sorry)

Not sure if this is the same issue, but link has been suffering frequent lag spikes and occasional crashes for me in the past day. The intensity of these issues temporarily goes down when I decrease the bitrate on link, for a  short time.

Any updates as we move into the 3rd weekend of these issues?

I have big problems with iRacing on some circuits (Mount Panorama, Charlotte), and support told me the issue needs to be solved by Meta. Any news?

News would be a fine thing, or a fix even.  I can't fly in Msfs 2024 for the 3rd week running, and AMS 2 is also affected.  So, for impacting our hobbies for this long, I wonder what the compensation will be?  My Quest 3 is useless to me right now, I would expect this lack of updates and customer service from a small start-up, but not Meta.

There is still bad link perofrmance with v83 and v85

Yep whatever that small update was earlier, it resolved nothing.  Still silence from Meta, so wasn't expecting much from it.

How long before the issue is resolved.????   I can't use I racing.

as a heads up you have effectively bricked these headsets at the worst possible time for sim racing, some PR advice would be to try to get on top of this issue or apologize as its getting to a point of permanently alienating a big portion of your clientele
