The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Horizon OS v2.6 has started to roll out.

Release Notes:  https://www.meta.com/help/quest/172903867975450/

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating:

1) For issues: Go to our Quest Forums and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v2.6" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for PTC issues.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

Has 2.7 started to roll out live to non-PTC users?  I don't see any updates on the release notes but more people seem to have gotten it in the past few days.

Yes, seems Meta is pretty slow in updating the release note pages. πŸ™„

I also got v2.7 build today.

     i am on 2.7 ptc.

i play sometimes flatgames streamed to the quest 3 via virtual desktop and play them with a regular gamepad (i have 2 dual sense controllers paired to the quest 3, of course only one is active while playing).

after some time a get a message that left or right vr controler has disconnected, this is probably normal for powersaving BUT:

the problem is, i cannot reactive the vr controllers after that! you can press all buttons and they won't come up again in the quest 3, only the status led on the touch plus controller reacts to the button presses with e short glow.

what can i do to reactive the vr controller (for a certain time, if not used):
    1)hmd restart
    2)removing the vr contoller battery
3)set touch plus controller into pairing mode with the two button combination and wait some time.

has anybody the same behavior when playing a flat game for a longer time and not using the vr controller? i don't know if it is an isolated (hardware)problem or if it is a current software issue in the ptc.

It seems more like a software problem to me. I admit I haven't tried it but the behavior certainly feels more like a software issue. You should definitely report it through the bug reporting tool on your headset. Thanks for bringing it to light, maybe others can provide more enlightenment on this. PS I should have added, you should get official v2.7 soon and maybe it will be fixed there.

Hi there, im on 2.7 Non-PTC (build 243367.3220.520 with my Quest 3 to be precise). Updated automatically on 21.8. and have no issues at all. Yeah, the controller also got an update today (after activating the headset).  The Meta Quest Link App updates (to PTC 207.0.0.133.434) some days before the new firmware. Everthing works as it should.

Air Link seems more stable und looks better quality wise and yes, Remote Desktop now named Virtual Display - didn't test the USB-"in" feature yet. Actual there is no way, to use the touch controller as a gamepad, so maybe that's an "rollout by time (or never)" feature. UI font scaling works as it should, but keep it at "standard" in the end.

Would be nice to get final release-notes for the retail version of firmware 2.7 πŸ‘

US page for release notes is already updated, they are the same as PTC release notes.

    Sorry, nope:

Ahh... sorry, this stipd site "automatically" switches to german.
Why doesn't it work as before?

I had to call it in english (en-GB), so I got the dialog to switch language.
I didn't confirm "english (gb)" and select "englisch (us)"... tadaaaa:

    Thank's mate!

NicoEng I haven't seen any. They must have been too busy getting their new VR glasses ready! πŸ˜‚. Looks like only v2.7 PTC is available at the moment.

Maccyb123  PTC v2.9 is out... you must scroll down the release note page and set the language to English(US), the other pages aren't updated yet.
