Question

The annoying LED

Hello Meta, I'm a French user of Ray-Ban Meta glasses (or Meta AI glasses). I love filming with my glasses, but the flashing LED that lights up during photos and videos is a real problem: it attracts the attention of the people being filmed, who then become uncomfortable, freeze up, or completely change their behavior. This makes capturing natural and spontaneous moments very difficult. Could you add a simple option to the Meta AI app to temporarily or permanently disable this recording LED? For example: a "Disable LED during this session" toggle switch. Or a permanent option in the glasses' settings (with a safety reminder if needed). This would greatly improve the experience for everyone who films with family, while traveling, for vlogging, or for creative purposes, without hindering normal use. Thank you very much for listening and for your work on the Meta glasses. I hope this feature can be added in a future update.

I know exactly what you mean. I bought my Gen 2 glasses specifically to capture POV footage at weddings. I have full consent from my couples and it’s covered in my contract, and one couple specifically asked if I could film some POV footage of their ceremony. The problem is now that the light continually flashes while recording, it’s just way too distracting, especially when the couple are standing right in front of me during such an important moment. It completely defeats the purpose of capturing natural candid footage. A solid light I could understand, but having it constantly flashing draws your attention straight to the glasses. Unfortunately I just can’t use them for what I specifically bought them for anymore.
