How do we remove uninstalled apps/games from my library?

How can we remove uninstalled apps or games from the library? For example, Beat Saber demo + full version are installed and I want to remove the uninstalled demo.

 

There are other apps I want to remove that aren't demos.

    Hello! Hope all is well today. Thanks for reaching out in regards to removing apps from your library. Currently, apps are not removable. 

     

    However, there is a non installed section. Just hover over an app’s tile in your library and click the three dots in the bottom right corner and you'll see uninstall. This will move the item from the Apps section of your library to the Not Installed section. 

     

    This area hosts all the apps that you have purchased or downloaded previously, but are no longer downloaded and installed on your device.

    I believe this is something that's been suggested a few times, I suggest looking through our Ideas Section to comment in on any Ideas or post your own. This will show Meta what the community is looking for in terms of improvements.

      There is no solution. Users have been asking for this functionality for years. You can filter your library to installed games, but you have to manually do this every time you view your library! i.e. when you turn on your device AND whenever you exit a game. Im now at the point of considering ditching this headseat+library and going for a different brand that cares about user experience.

      Well if at all possible can y’all make it to where we can remove apps from the uninstalled area of the library so the apps I don’t like I can remove and that way when I go searching for a app I’ve saved to install I’m not searching through hundreds of apps that I dont use especially demo apps. I know I’m not the only user who would like that. It just a clutter thing for me even though it doesn’t take up space in memory but some of us like to clean up clutter and remove the apps we don’t like or know we will never install again.

    I’ve been searching for that too . I’m honestly surprised they don’t have the option to remove app from the uninstalled area of the library. Like especially them demos. I don’t need ‘em

    You can change the default filter setting so that every time you open your Apps library, the filter is set to show  just your "Installed" apps.

    To change the default filter and sort options:
    Settings > Personalization > App Library

    I agree.  Having a bunch of unused demos and others unused apps makes things a mess.  I would be fine with someone creating a app or a file that let's someone store /file their unused apps away in one central area.

    I agree!

    I recently purchased the headset and was trying all kinds of games, but now I'm not going to try any because if I don't like it..I'm stuck with it forever!  All this technology and you tell me you cant find a way to delete it?

    Its like having another bag of trash in your house and the developers say, " well you cant get rid of it, but we'll design a place for you to hide it and not make it stink!" lol

     

    This just baffles me!  No demos for me, thank you

    How is this still not fixed, ridiculous.  Let us delete/remove an uninstalled app.  Or let me dump them into a folder at least!

    Do you know what WILLFULLY IGNORANT means? 

    Thousands of users asking for a way to DELETE UNINSTALLED APPS FROM THE LIBRARY....

    THE SIMPLEST REQUEST FROM THOUSANDS OF USERS CONTINUALLY IGNORED FOR YEARS!!!

    This should atleast be a function for apps that are free. Like Playstation has.

    But a quick fix would be a "hide" function. And a show/hide hidden option.

    This feels like a purposeful design that results in a poor user experience.

    The default view should not show uninstalled apps. If anything, this discourages people from downloading and trying new things in order to avoid unnecessary clutter.

    I agree 100%. Its really annoying. Once you uninstall an app it oughtta dissapear completely as if it were never installed to begin with. Not sure why they set it up this way 🤔
