How do we remove uninstalled apps/games from my library?

How can we remove uninstalled apps or games from the library? For example, Beat Saber demo + full version are installed and I want to remove the uninstalled demo.

There are other apps I want to remove that aren't demos.

Hello! Hope all is well today. Thanks for reaching out in regards to removing apps from your library. Currently, apps are not removable.

However, there is a non installed section. Just hover over an app’s tile in your library and click the three dots in the bottom right corner and you'll see uninstall. This will move the item from the Apps section of your library to the Not Installed section.

This area hosts all the apps that you have purchased or downloaded previously, but are no longer downloaded and installed on your device.

We hope our assistance was beneficial to you!

Please allow us to remove things permanently. I have demos and app lab stuff junking up my list of apps!

A year has now passed and there is still no option to permanently delete an app. My library is filling up more and more and is becoming confusing. Filtering for uninstalled apps has a completely different meaning and has nothing to do with permanently deleting them.

Shame on you for still not implementing meta after a year. Sorry, but that's how it is.

Bought headset a couple of weeks ago. Just working my way through the issues. Yup, this is one of them! So I won't be installing any demo's/trials, and it's really going to put me off installing apps that come with Meta Quest + subscription, meaning I will probably ditch it when the trial runs out. For what it's worth, I don't understand why there's not a filter for just Games also (rather than all apps).

Kinda funny there's a lot of basic functions like this that just don't exist. You'd figure for a software company they'd be better at designing software.

Remember, Meta is a "data" company, not a "software" company. It's in their interests to keep serving you more opportunities to re-install old software to inflate statistics.

Baffling design decisions like this are definitely rooted in a revenue generation model.

Any plans on enabling this feature? If not please let users know so we can make plans to buy a product that does.

Come on Meta, it's been years now. I understand, there are filters and such... But what does it cost you to add "permanently remove from account" option or at the very least a "hide from library" checkbox that would remove it (in headset, phone app and website) and add a "show hidden apps" option in case we made a mistake and we want to restore. Steam does it really well in case you need some inspiration...

Come on Meta, this is completely unacceptable that this issue still exists after this many years.

So I just now noticed this issue. People are going to try tons of apps and games to see how VR handles them, and we are gonna dislike a lot of them. So we are stuck with seeing uninstalled apps in the library until we reset the unit? Setting to view only installed is not an answer either. That has to be done each start up time.

Uninstalling apps have been a thing since mobile devices. Since any device. Even Android lets you "forget" uninstalled apps on your account, and they don't show up in your main library by default once uninstalled. Can we add this fundamental feature guys and gals?

I just reset mine and all the apps still show in the library.  This has been a blurry, misrepresented, overhyped bit of nonsense. I am woefully unimpressed at the"best" they can offer.  Still waiting on tech support to follow up and doubt they even will.  waste of $500

November 7, 2024 (2+ years from original post), still not resolved. It's one of the many reasons why I don't spend money in the oculus store and stick to using SteamLink for where I buy my VR apps. Meta isn't getting another penny from my wallet.
