I was banned on Gorilla Tag

My kid got indefinitely banned from gorilla tag because someone thought she cheated with a mod or hack. Believe me when I say this isn’t true she wouldn’t have the 1st idea how to do this. Can someone help me get the account unbanned?

    If this ban was from within Gorilla Tag, and not from your Meta account, we're unable to assist as this decision is up to the game developers. I would give an attempt with their Support Team to see if they're able to appeal the ban or see if it may have been a mistake.

    If you go to gorillatagvr.com and click support and then ban appeal, sign in with your account, type your email, and why you should get unbanned they will respond with yes you got unbanned or rejected. I got banned and still am for a week.

      We’ve been dealing with the same thing. My child has been going in and out of bans on this game. He finally got done with a ban to log back in after dinner to see an 8 week ban, for no reason. I went onto their discord group to appeal the ban and got dog pilled on by the community and moderators and then banned from their discord. This game has a huge problem and I saw it trying to help my child in their community discord.

        Hello! To explain why you got dog piled, you are not allowed to say your ban appeals in the server. There is a ban appeal section in the how to channel. There you can ban appeal. Good luck monke 🦍

      This thing happened with my kid allso! Big problem!!! He get’s banned all the time for a coupple of Weeks and we are watching him play and he doesn’t do any wrong!!

        The best thing to do is go to the official gorilla tag discord and try to appeal. If they do not accept it then just create a new face book account and it will let you play. The only thing is you lose all cosmetics.

      I was banned in gorilla tag, but when the time it was over I was still banned.

    Yeah my son was just banned for 10 days for hacking which is 100% wrong. Not sure how and why this happened. How did you make out with resolving your daughters issue?

      Just don't spend any more money on this game. They can ban you for no reason. I'm done with gorilla tag. Show your kids other games and they are better anyway

      believe me when i say people get MAD in gorilla tag when someone is better than them, if someone reports you for no reason and have there username (in game) and the lobby name you and them were in when it happened you can get them banned for false reports

    Yes it’s a mess. My son got banned for no real reason. He has no way to even get mods it’s a stand alone headset. Yet he was banned which in return for my daughter banned cause it’s a ip ban. They really need to fix that. I have so much money on that game in cosmetic

      Its a cash grab, screw these jokes who call themselves developers.   Their needs to be a lawsuit for all those that sunk money in, to have it banned, with no reason.  Thieves.

      This can happen from other ankle biters (children) False reporting your child. Let's say your child said that they didn't like anime, some ankle biters will get SO offended, that they falsely report your child. Then tell everyone else in the game to report the child, and there are only about.. 12 real moderators. The rest is done by AI.  So that means the moderation SUCKS!

    Ok,as a person whose been banned for legitimately hacking i have to ask. Do you have a PC even CAPABLE of VR?? if not u can appeal ur ban on their discord.

      No all I have it a hp laptop that can’t push fortnite. They said he was using mods but there’s no way. I don’t even have discord or how to work it lol. They should be unbanned soon though. Just sucks both were banned cause of one person. I didn’t even know ip ban was a thing lol. I’m old I guess

      My son keeps getting banned and he uses mods but he goes in modded servers so why is he getting banned for cheating?

      I was reading through some comments and came across yours - do you mind answering a question ? My son just told me he was playing gorilla tag on VR and another player told him to type in EEE he did and now he is banned ? He said he doesn’t know what it means - he is 9 and got this game 2 weeks ago for his bday - any thoughts would be appreciated?

        He just waited out the ban.  His first ban was for something similar only whoever told him to enter three K’s - and he didn’t know what that meant.  I never figured out how to contact the game admins. It’s pretty annoying.

      How do u appeal? My kids r banned indefinitely for cheating which they did not do. They don't even know how to play the game. They just got it and they were just running around looking at their surroundings.

      How did you appeal? My 10 year old tagged someone and then a bunch of them spam reported him for being toxic. He’s heartbroken over being banned for 2 weeks. I was standing there when it happened- he didn’t do anything wrong or say anything hurtful.

    I got banned on gorilla tag for “cheating”. I am on a stand-alone quest and all I did was go in tutorial by uninstalling the game. Some younger kids mass reported me and I got banned for that. I tried appealing, but is there any way for me to get unbanned?

      Hi itsmeechus! Getting banned from any game is no fun at all! These sort of changes can only be made by the game developers, so you'll want to contact the Gorilla Tag studio by following this link. They have the tools and resources to look into this and make any necessary changes for you!

        I’m sure many here would agree that Meta needs to look into the practices of this developer because they are taking peoples money and I simply deciding who can and can’t continue playing. Their philosophy seems to be that if enough emotionally unstable eight year olds report you because they are sore losers, they simply revoke your ability to use the app. Looks a little like digital theft in my opinion.

        1. Have you attempted to get in touch with the game's developers to find out why the ban was instituted?
        2. What caused your son to be suspended?

    Same happened to my kids. They just got the game and have never owned or played any type of gaming systems. I was watching them play and all they were doing was throwing snow balls and running around. They got banned for cheating. Hiw do we get unmanned and is this banned just from some hateful kids reporting things for no reason? I am scared to buy games and then get banned and just throwing my money away. This is ridiculous!

    My son just got banned for no reason, by a bunch of younger kids. Gaming means a lot for his friendships. How can I help him?
