Age Restrictions and Limited Parental Control

My son had been using the Oculus account I had setup for him with the headset that he predominately uses. It came up with a recent issue being that it recognised someone under the age of 13 was playing on my 13+ account. Firstly yes I allowed this and its my right as a parent to allow him to access the things I allow him to access but I did regrettably confirm my age and then create a 10-12 year account in family centre for him. Now due to this frustration I just removed all limitation and to be completely honest he has more access now then he did before simply cause this is all imposing on my right to parent my child appropriately and it made me angry. I however have come to find out he cannot play the games he usually plays as its restricted and I'm unable to provide him access to these games, which again, as his parent is solely my right to allow or disallow.

Is there a work around to this at all or is Meta just getting worse and worse?
