Black corner when recording a video or taking a picture.

I have a problem with some apps where I get a black corner whenever I try to take a picture or record a video from the gameplay. I've tried changing eyes for reference, different aspect ratios and settings combinations; I even factory reset the Headset several times and nothing happens. Does anybody knows how to fix this issue? It's driving me crazy...

    Hey there Reggalado

     

    We saw you were having some issues with a black corner when you record video or take screenshots on your Quest 3, and thought we'd lend a hand!

     

    We know you've mentioned looking through a few settings already, but we'd like to know if you've looked at which eye is used as the camera when you record or take screenshots, as it looks like it could be the edge of vision.

     

    If you open your camera, and go to Settings, and change the Left/Right Eye Selection, does the black corner go away, or change sides, or does it even stay the same?

     

    Additionally, does this happen no matter what game or app you're recording? And can you see any black corners while you're playing normally?

     

    It seems like some very basic troubleshooting, but you'd be surprised what we can learn from it!

      Hi,

      It doesn't happen in all the apps.

      It appears on the side of the selected eye.

      I don't see the black corner when I'm playing, it only appears in photos or recorded videos. 

      Is there a way to change the "Edge of vision"?

        Thank you for providing more valuable inputs in regards to the issue as requested previously. It rather seems that this could simply be a bug/glitch in the software and we'd recommend you to make sure that your headset software is up to date.
