I've tried everything besides replacing parts

My oculus 3 wont do anything.  I have a black screen and no lights come on when charging.  I tried everything from the holding down the power button and volume down to try to get it to do anything and the only thing that works is the fan.  The fan comes on and goes off while I'm holding down the power button.   I opened it up and the fan works fine.   I got a liquid detected notice before it wouldnt turn on anymore.  I'm guessing it's from sweat from the workout apps we use,  I let it sit awhile before trying again to maybe let it dry out.  I dont understand we why this is an issue when something should be in place to protect the device because people swear while playing.  I also have the meta strap with the battery on it and I disconnected it to try and still nothing. Please help.
