Hello there, thank you for posting on our Forums.

We understand you are having some issues with your controller disconnecting while playing Gorilla tag on your headset. If that is the only app being effected, we would recommend contacting their support page for further guidance. However, we will suggest some steps you can take to help get your controllers back in working order below. Please try as many of them as you can.

First of all, if the status light on the controllers are flashing in an SOS blinking sequence, please try the steps below.

    1. While the SOS is flashing, remove and reinsert the battery.
    2. Restart your headset.
    3. Unpair and re-pair your controllers to your headset using the Meta Horizon mobile app. Ensure that your headset is awake and nearby.
    4. Use the software update tool to check for and install any available updates.
    5. Perform a hard reboot. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds or until you hear the device reboot again.

If you are still having issues after trying these steps, please contact our support team privately, so we can give you more specific troubleshooting steps. You can contact us by following the steps outlined below.

No no no 😬, please see my solution above, it's a loose battery 😉.

Your battery is loose, which is why you keep getting disconnects. I bet you are using rechargeable batteries. Most likely the metal contact has been pushed in, like in this post. The solution is to put a bit of aluminium foil between the battery and the metal contact. Also make sure the battery contacts are clean by using a cotton swab with a little white vinegar.

That's a good point about rechargeable batteries steve_40  I noticed that one set of rechargeable batteries I bought were tighter and more bulky than standard ones. Then I found a brand here in Türkiye called I-Gen Pro that are slimmer and fit OK. The ones I had that were too tight were Duracell rechargeable. It was very difficult, even taking them out was a chore.
