No immersive home v81 - only passthrough.

Hi all,

So, I've been on v81 for about a week now, but since the update I only have access to pass-through. I have no immersive home at all. When I click the left menu, I can choose to pin the mirror and the horizon worlds portal and that's it.

 

Anyone else had this issue?

    Have you tapped on the vr google icon next to the notification bell in your menu bar?

    You must do that to switch to the immersive home.

  • I have the same problem! 

    When trying to enter the immersive mode using the button (the one next to Notifications button) or double tap on the headset, I simply get a toast message saying Downloading Immersive Home but then I get Error downloading Immersive Home: com.meta.shell.env.vista.central

      Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with downloading the Immersive Home environment.

      The error message you’re seeing, typically indicates a problem with the environment package not installing correctly. To help resolve this, we recommend the following steps:

      Restart your headset:  Power it off completely, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

      Check your internet connection:  Make sure your headset is connected to a stable and strong Wi-Fi network. A weak or interrupted connection can prevent downloads from completing.

      Clear space on your headset: Ensure there’s enough storage available for the environment to download. You can check this in Settings > Storage.

      Clear data/cache : While you can't clear the cache for a system component like the home environment directly, a common fix for app download issues is to clear the cache for related system apps
      Try a different network: If possible, try connecting your Quest to a different Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot to rule out issues with your primary router.

      If you are still having issues with even after trying the above steps, please let us know and we will look into it further.
