Rift S poor performance and fps drops


Hello, I have been having trouble with my second hand rift S, basically no matter what game. In Beat Saber, Blade & Sorcery the game drops down to 30-20 fps sometimes on heavier scenes but I don't think that should happen, with my PC RTX 3070 and a Ryzen 7 3700x, MSI B550 Motherboard ,32 GB Ram 3600mhz Corsair. I've tried tweaking ASW with no success, trying different usb ports, updating my drivers/windows and lots of those known repairs online. Has anyone had issues with their rift S? If so were you able to fix them? thanks

    We know how frustrating it is to experience decreasing frames per second when using your Rift S. We're also aware that this poor performance is affecting your gaming experience and that is definitely not what we want for you, so we'd like to provide a few more troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue.

     

    First of all, thanks for being proactive and trying some troubleshooting already, including trying different USB ports and updating your drivers. 

     

    We also want to check that your software is up to date: this is really important to ensure a seamless gaming experience. Please check our Software Update Tool to ensure your Rift S is up to date.

     

    As you're having this issue with Beat Saber, Blade and Sorcery, we would also recommend checking your in-game settings for each game and update, if necessary.
