Hmm, I just checked, yep they've removed the Rift CV1 from the setup screen. :(
I already have my CV1 set up so I can't really test adding it again (and I don't want to remove it from the app in case I can't get it back).

kojack is there some .exe file in the link software to bump-start the Rift setup process where you could re-calibrate the IPD and do the sensor setup?
There's also a copy of the download cache on the Internet Archive which may also have the setup software.

You're the best - awesome that you secured the files. Might check if I still have the old files too - I installed the last time in 2021.
So far the CV1 is working perfectly - just received 3 updates from Meta, the PCVR app and CV1 still in perfect shape.
That said, maybe it's time to complete the CV1 games like Stormland, where I really need that hmd...

Some say that Meta is working on a new installer, and maybe adding the black 3s pushed out CV1 from the selection menu - but again that may be wishful thinking.
But it does seem correct that the PCVR app is undergoing significant changes:
I like how that post's screenshot shows Echo VR in the continue playing list. :) :)

You might need find an older version of the Oculus PC app that still supports/works with the Rift, then also disable automatic updates.
Hi steve_40 🙂
the Rift does not need the Meta Horizon phone app to get set up.... it's not standalone device like the Quest.

Rift is still on the page here at the very bottom - in case needed, what if you just select the Rift-S and see if your CV1 gets detected? Or can you just skip choosing the hmd?

RuneSR2 unfortunately, all the download links to the different headsets link to the same download. 😞

Btw, I believe the world wants to know how Meta treats old customers - I've made two posts on Reddit:

Of course Meta can just add the CV1 back, if some dude forgot to include it, lol.
According to the Steam Hardware Survey, Rift is currently the 8th most popular hmd for PCVR - much more popular than Quest 1 and Quest Pro, and the two latter hmds are still included in the Meta PCVR app.

One user on Reddit wrote that he experienced this exact issue last week, but choosing the Rift-S, then the CV1 will be detected and installed.
