After V76 release, Quest pro's download speed is capped to 200Mbps

So after V76 update it seems the download speed is capped around 200Mbps and 6Ghz connection is unstable as well

I've tested on both Wifi 6 router and Wifi 6e routers and both performed simular result

I've also done some LAN connection test from my PC to Quest Pro

On the picture is side by side comparison of Quest Pro V76 and iPhone 15 Pro max connecting to my PC via a Wifi6e router with 1Gbps LAN port under the same internet environment

    Check to make sure you don't have QoS turned on somewhere on your network. Could be back as far as the gateway. 

    I have seen that happen to different devices. For some reason the router/gateway will decide to limit a device and you will see slower speeds.

    Find the setting, turn it off and test. See if the speed goes back to normal.

      Nope, I never turn QoS on and I've tested it multiple times, before V76 update everything was fine
      Theres quite alot of ppl suffers the same problem only on Quest Pro V76

      It's not a QoS issue (nor is it any other issue with the network setup).  This problem is happening to everyone who got this V76 update and has a Quest Pro.  Been an issue since V76 hit PTC.  Was not an issue on V74.  The problem started immediately upon the V76 update being installed, no other parameters changed.

      I also verified this.  A friend has a V74 Quest Pro that he blocked updates on.  Tried it on the same network, same PC, same setup - no problems.  It's the V76 update that caused this issue.

    Just out of curiosity. Did you check? Did you at least try it?

    I'm definitely not saying I am correct. I am just offering things to test.

    QoS can cause issues with throttling a device because it is mis-categorized as something it is not.

    That is the point of QoS to give particular devices priority on a network. If for some reason the updated version (v.76) is causing the QoS to see the Quest as a device that it doesn't see should be getting priority on the network, it will throttle the speed and give other devices the bandwidth.

    So you see, it could be that it is a v76 issue that is causing the QoS to throttle the speed.

    Don't jump to a conclusion automatically. Try things out before you immediately decide that they are wrong. Like I said, I don't know that I am correct. But it is a possibility, because there is something that is causing the speed to be throttled. 

     

    And QoS can be on automatically. Or, in some cases, turn itself on after a firmware update. It did it to me on my ASUS GT-AX11000 Pro

      I’ve asked multiple friends that uses Quest 3/Pro/2

      and the only ones having trouble is Quest Pro on V76

      And I’m so sure that I didn’t turn on QoS because I always manually set up my router

      QoS is not and has never been enabled on my access point; I did make sure to check.  I would find it odd that suddenly every single person with a Quest Pro suddenly had QoS turned on though, since this problem seems to be impacting all Quest Pro owners with V76 installed.  Stranger things have happened I guess.  But at least in my case QoS is definitely off.

        QoS wouldn't be on the AP, it would be on the Router.

    It's a v76 issue.  This capped speed is only on my v76 qpro.  My other v72 pro with exact same settings functions great.

      I have filed an in-headset bug report with every version of V76 since it first hit PTC a month ago.  I just filed one yesterday on the latest V76 software, since it's still an issue.

    This is an unresolved issue.
    It appears to have reached 400 Mbps, but it takes time to actually reach 400 Mbps. However, it seems to be slightly improved from the initial version.
    However, as others have explained, the difference between upload and download speeds is still too large.

    PC using a 2.5G LAN, and I also tested it on an iPhone to confirm that there were no problems with the Wi-Fi.

    I'm also having this issue. My wireless performance on the Quest Pro has been shocking for around 3 weeks now, assumed the issue was something going on with my internal network (nothing changed so it shouldn't have), but after looking on here I realised it started around when my headset updated to V76.

    Can confirm the issue still exists and im capped at 200mbps 

    Ubiquiti U6E / AX5400 / U7 Pro 

    same issue since V76 and some small stutters

    Issue is still unresolved as of the latest update v76.1024 build 5076098.7860.340.  Local network download speed is still capped out at around 400mbps, and it is significantly slower than the upload speed when they should be similar.  Reported in-headset also, as always.
