Why ain't there hall effect or tmr sticks for controllers
Hi there,I am having issues with Quest Link glitching and freezing. The quest link says "You won't be able to use the Link feature, as your system's hardware is incompatible with it."However, my system hardware is compatable. I have checked everything and my PC is more than able to handle VR. I am using Meta's quest link cable on USB-3 and the usb test was successful. Headset is quest 3. Here is more details of my specs:Link Cable: Using branded meta link cableProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285K (3.70 GHz)Graphics card NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5090Memory 43.7GBOperating system Windows 11I have repaired, unisntall and reinstalled the software many times. One time a message popped up that there was a known bug with my graphics version. "Your NVIDIA graphics card has a known bug which causes Meta Horizon Link to freeze-up during gameplay. Please roll back to version 591.86 won't be able to use the Link Feature. " I have followed the app's advice and rolled babk the graphics card.
My Quest 3 can only manage 300Mbps on Speedtest.net with a 1Gbps USB-C hub (powered). The same hub, if plugged into my PC reaches over 900Mbps. I have a 1Gbps connection to Plusnet.Has Meta nerfed the Ethernet connection in the Q3 in a recent update? I used to get full speed. I have tried multiple USB-C Ethernet cables/hubs, and they're all restricted to 300Mbps.
Title: Quest 2 stuck on “Update 1 of 2 completed” after factory reset – unable to pair or updateHi everyone,I'm having a frustrating issue with my Oculus Quest 2 and would appreciate any help. After performing a factory reset, my headset gets stuck on this message:“Update 1 of 2 completed – Continue setup in the Meta Quest mobile app.”The setup never progresses beyond this screen. Here is what I have tried so far:Tried pairing the headset using the Meta Horizon app on both an Android phone and an iPhone. Both fail with “Headset not found” or “Unable to pair with your headset.”Restarted the headset multiple times.Tried accessing the boot menu and selecting “Boot Device.” The headset eventually returns to the same update screen.Tried the official Meta Quest software update tool on both a Windows PC and a MacBook using the original USB cable. Both computers show the same error: “Cannot connect with ADB! Make sure device has enabled ADB access.”No USB debugging authorization prompt appears in
The controllers will consistently never reconnect after remaining on sleep mode for a little while, is there an actual fix to this? Meaning one that doesn't involve replacing the batteries, pairing the controllers again, turning it off and waiting to turn it back on again, rebooting, or minimizing it by turning off hand tracking. Just an actual fix?
I have an important problem which is disturbing me a lot: i made about 190 videos and was importing it to my gallery on my phone (Samsung galaxy a42). But sometimes my phone cut out for a moment and interrupted my import. Now only 83 of my video's are saved. The other part disappeared. How can i still restore them? Really appreciate the effort.🙏
Hi, I have spent hours and days trying to transfer my data from my insta 360 x5 to my meta quest 3 device. I am registered as a developer on on my meta horizon app, pc and meta quest 3 device. When I request support on the meta website, it tells me to select my device and when I do this I am told no device found - and it doesn't give me further options.. This is why I asked how can I register my device. This is extremely frustrating . How do I receive technical support? I am a meta shareholder and have encouraged others to buy the meta quest 3. You need to have easier ways to contact support.
I've tried talking to support, factory resetting, trying on another device and doing troubleshooting steps but I just cant pair with the link app using WIFI or usb-c.My hardware is within minimum requirements, it has an i7 with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.I've seen this is a common issue in the forum where people say to rollback graphics drivers however I don't have a dedicated GPU. My headset just doesnt detect the link app. I remember it saying "please make sure the link app is installed and running" in the link settings when I plugged in USB-C. So it thinks I don't have it open. The second device is an older Windows 10 laptop, I get this error saying meta quest virtual display stopped working constantly. Maybe its something that my newer laptop doesnt report? Thanks in advance for the help.
After a Quest 3 firmware update—while still using version 205 of the Meta app—I experienced PCVR disconnections; this happened both while the PC was running a game and even just within the virtual room when activating the wired connection via the Meta app. The symptoms were: The Quest 3 screen would freeze, while the game on the PC continued to run normally and even tracked the headset's movement. With the release of version 206, the freezing issues have multiplied; I can't even complete a 10-minute PCVR session before the Quest freezes. Returning to the Meta app, the PC Link option isn't even selectable. When running the cable test via the Meta app, the test starts but the app crashes. It then restarts and automatically resumes the USB cable test, confirming that the cable is suitable for use. At that point, the option to activate PCVR via the Meta app becomes available again. Since everything worked fine before the various updates— Firmware Meta app versions 206, 207, and 208— I have
This post is my last-ditch effort to get this thing to work. I've owned this old-school Oculus Rift S for years and it's worked without an issue until a few weeks ago. I stopped using it for a few months and decided to boot it back up, but now Meta Quest Link says there is either no DisplayPort connection or that the DisplayPort connection isn't working. I did not change any hardware on my computer.I've tried repairing/reinstalling the Meta Quest Link app, updating my drivers, rolling back drivers, and changing the connection to every combination of USB port and DisplayPort possible. I've scoured the internet for solutions and nothing works. I tried opening a support ticket with Meta, but somehow, this device I've used for years isn't on my Meta account and I cannot open a ticket unless I have a device on my account, even though I can see the device and serial number in Meta Quest Link. Even if I was able to get a ticket through, I've heard nothing but bad things about Meta's cust
I just got my 3s and got it updated , downloaded horizon and when I try to pair, it asks for my email to verify...then it says my email already exists. How do I get passed that?
right quest 3 controller paired and tracking, but no inputs work. Controller moves around when viewed through headset. but if you pull the trigger, grip , thumbstick, a, b, or meta button. they don't work, or move like there even getting a signal when viewed through headset. Left hand is fine. Charged every thing up, left batteries out over night, paired controllers through app. tried factory reset but cant continue since it wants me to press the meta button on the right controller and it wont do it
After installing latest Meta Horizon Windows app update (85.0.0.239.552), the display inside headset freezes (sometimes goes black, similar to when proximity sensor kicks in, but while still wearing VR headset) after a few seconds after establishing cabled link (official 5m cable). Have to restart PC and re-establish Link to get it to work again, but then same happens after a few seconds. Can still hear audio inside headset, and when using games it seems to do head tracking (monitor screen updates, but not inside headset). This also happens inside the Meta Link view (grey environment with grid floor and ceiling inside VR headset after establishing link).Firmware in VR headset is also on latest version,This happened after updating Meta Horizon Windows app on 3rd/4th March. Before this it was working perfect.Have tested this on 4 different PC's, with 3 different Meta Quest 3 headsets and one Quest Pro, with same result.Hardware on test PC's:Windows 11, different i9 processors (13th
so, a year ago its been told that the quest pro controllers are not compatible with the quest 3d and i would like to know if there has been an update that made it now compatible
I HAVE BEEN GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES TRYING TO SORT OUT THIS ISSUEThe issue as presented to the 'help centre' (what a joke) I need help with a Meta Quest 2 that is stuck in an orphaned/desynced device state and needs its device record cleared on your side. The headset is set up for my child's Meta account (I'm the supervising parent). The problem:- The headset appears in my child's Meta Horizon mobile app, but NOT in their account at auth.meta.com/settings/my/devices or in the desktop app- The headset itself says "account not found"- Opening Manage profiles in the app gives: GraphQLError 1675012, OCDeviceProfilesManagerSurfaceQuery What I've already tried: clearing app data, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, logging out and back in, and checking the desktop app (the device isn't listed there to delete). There is no serial number evident where it is supposed to be, it was a secondhand unit, but it has previously been working via the same account details with no issues.Could y
I haven’t used my meta quest 2 in a long time and it says to go to http://www.meta.com/debices to enter the code but I am not prompted to enter the code so idk what to do.
Hello everyone,My Rift S VR mask stopped working after September's Windows 11 update. What's happening is that even though DisplayPort and USB are successfully connected in the Meta Horizon Link, when it is trying to check the headset sensor it fails.Any ideas?
Since 2.7 update when my controllers go to sleep they wont turn back on unless i take the battery out and put it back anyone know how to fix this?
My quest 2 says that it cant connect because the password is wrong, it says "saved / check password and try again" and i have, its the right password. I forgot the network- didnt work. I turned of and on the headset- didnt work. I FACTORY RESET IT [guess what]-DIDNT WORK IVE TRIED EVERYTHING, Please help me
I factory reset my quest 1 on the device. In the meta app it says my headset is still connect but it is not.The headset wants to pair and the app doesn't recognize the headset since it thinks it is still connected. My serial number is: [redacted]It is printed on the headset and the QR code gives the same number.I can't set up my headset again. [edited for privacy - this is a public forum]
I recently purchased a Meta Quest 3 to use with Emulate3D for machine VR simulations. I'm connecting the headset to my PC using the official Meta Link cable and the Meta Horizon Link app. I DO NOT want to use WiFi to connect my headset and PC because of the security risks and because my PC is much stronger and can run large simulations much better. The headset initially works perfectly. After connecting through Link, I can access the Link dashboard, view my PC desktop in VR, launch Emulate3D, and enter a live VR simulation. Everything runs normally at first and I can walk around the model and interact with it without any issues. The problem is that after a few minutes, the headset display freezes completely. The image inside the headset becomes locked on the last rendered frame, and when I move my head around, the final frame stays where it was and the rest of my view is black and pixelated. The controllers also stop responding inside the headset. I have determined that Emulate3D itself
Hello everyone! So I've been having issues with my Rift CV1. I have 2 Sensors and the headset. I bought a Inateck 3.0 PCIe card and plugged all the things into it and it gave me USB 3.0 issues where it will go to usb 2.0 on the headset or sensors or on one or the other, it is a lot.So I tried just having the headset on the card and the 2 sensors on the motherboard, the 2 sensors on the card and the Rift on the motherboard, the headset and 1 sensor on the card and 1 sensor on the motherboard and nothing has worked. But when I have the headset in the card, it makes a crackling sound.Sometimes, my game will freeze and the last input I press on the controllers it does that and my character or whatever, moves in the game while I cannot move or do anything for like 2 seconds then it goes back to normal. It has been doing this ever since I got the card and it has been frustrating. I will also list my specs below to give you guys an idea of any issues you see here.Any help is appreciated!Specs:
Hi,Is there any way to stream the Quest 3 display to a PC wirelessly, without using an Internet connection and without a USB cable? Both the built-in Quest casting feature and Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH) appear to require an active Internet connection in order to start casting. The only solution I have found that works entirely over a local network is using scrcpy with wireless ADB. However, the captured image still contains the headset lens distortion, so I then have to capture the scrcpy window in OBS and apply additional correction to compensate for the distortion. Is there any other way to stream the Quest 3 display directly to a PC over a local Wi-Fi network, without requiring Internet access?I cannot rely on Internet connectivity because the application will be used at trade shows and industry exhibitions, where Internet access may be unavailable, unstable, or unpredictable. Using a cable is also not an option, so the solution has to be completely wireless.Ideally, I am looking
