Entering Link From Headset "Infinite Loading Screen"

Hi, I have been using Metta Quest  3 Link with my PC for a few days and everything has been fine.

Today, I opened Link from the headset and just got a totally black screen, so I exited and tried again. Ever since then, when trying to open link, the loading screen just displays, infinitely.

I can see the Quest "connected" in the Horizon app on the PC, and when the infinite loading screen is displaying, library apps seem to think the headset is connected.

Im brand new to Meta Quest, only had it a couple weeks, and as I say, only been using Link for less than  a week, so I'm probably doing something stupid, but its driving me crazy.

I have tried:

  • Restarting headset
  • Restarting PC
  • Reinstalling Meta Horizon app
  • Repairing Meta Horizon app
  • Repairing headset
  • Removing Temp files
  • Logging out/in of account
  • Restarting runtime service

    Don't worry its not you doing anything wrong, it seems like meta have pushed an update and its broke somthining I also can not connect, and a LOT of others are the same.. lets hope they fix it fast

    submit a bug report through yout Meta3 headset (tap "bug" icon). Many have the same issue so hopefully Meta will fix this.

    Found that if you disconnect the router from internet, I was able to enter a link session, but as soon as I connect the router to internet everything freezes.  Something on the Meta side is not available and that makes our headsets unable for link.

    This needs to be fixed asap.

    I just contacted Meta support. They said they are actively looking into the issue and will get back to me by email. They know that it’s their fault.

    im suddenly having this issue too, air link and cable link, it was working fine a couple hours ago i just put it on to charge and bam (quest 3)

    Disable your PC's internet connection before launching Link. It should start fine and then you can reenable your connection. Its a workaround for now but it seems to work. You will need to use the cable tho!

    It worked for me too, thank you very much. I thought it was a bug in my Oculus, but it seems to be general.

      Just add an entry to Windows Firewall to block outgoing connections from OculusDash.exe and then you won't need to disconnect the internet every time you run Link.
