Meta quest pro controllers refuse to update

This problem occurred to me 2-3 days ago when I just want to play some vr games with my quest pro controller that I have had for maybe 2-3 years now, and then my controllers need updating which I wait for them to update. But when I check on my controllers to see the purple light, it only appears for 3 seconds before going away and my headset keeps saying update starting even though it doesn’t start. I have waited like an hour for them to update but they don’t, so now I have to resort to my quest 2 controllers until I figure out the problem.

  • so after 15 days of this post being up i decide to one more time try to use my quest pro controllers and then a miracle happened where they actually started to update and then my controllers were tracking once they were done updating.

    Thanks for posting into our forum. We see you're having problems with your Quest Pro controllers refusing to update, and we'd like to try and help out as well! So to start with, we'd like you to try the following troubleshooting steps:

     

    • Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect the controller's connection. For example, controller covers, controller attachments, etc.
    • Try another network, if available

      Hey meta support,

      thanks for the advice of steps to fix my controllers. Unfortunately I already tried using a different network to update controllers and they still just stop updating like usual, and I have no accessories on my quest pro controllers. Even after many restarts of my controllers they still don’t work. I will try to contact you guys to resolve this but if there is another way then contacting you guys, then let me know.
