Hey there, we realise that microphone issues are affecting your Metaverse experience, and we'd like to provide some troubleshooting tips to see if we can sort this out for you!

First of all, please check Your PC's Sound Settings by following these steps:

    • Right-click the speaker icon in your Windows taskbar and select "Sound settings" or "Sounds".
    • Navigate to the Recording tab (or the "Input" section in Sound settings) and find the "Headset Microphone - Oculus Virtual Audio Device".
    • Set it as the default device: if it isn't already, and ensure it's enabled.

Next, try to adjust your Windows Privacy Settings by following these steps:

    • Press the Windows key, type "microphone privacy settings," and open the result.
    • Under "Microphone access for this device," click "Change" and ensure the toggle is On.
    • Scroll down and make sure "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone" is also On.

Finally, please try to configure your Quest Link Audio Settings by completing the following steps:

    • Open the Oculus app on your PC.
    • Go to Devices and select your Quest 2.
    • Click on the Audio settings.
    • Toggle "Hear Computer Audio in VR" OFF. This can interfere with the microphone's functionality.

We hope this helps, but if the problem assists, please get in touch with us over Private Message, and we can see what options we have available to help!
