Quest 3 - Liquid & Debris Error again

I play a lot of pc vr. Just bought a usb c to usb c cable so i could charge my  headset while playing games.  But everytime i get the message Quest 3 - Liquid & Debris Error clean port. Port is clean cant find any solution. Accept using usb c to usb a cable again

  • same problem.  I can't believe they haven't fixed this after all these years.  I'll definitely think twice before buying their next headset.  It ruins hours worth of sim racing for me on a daily basis.  Leave it unplugged it runs out of juice quickly, plug it in and it gives incorrect messages about non existent debris that block the entire screen and require the user to  pull over to the side of the track mid race (which is not easy when you can't see anything but a big error message popup), find the controller and click OK.  Obviously a hardware flaw that they can't fix via the operating system.

    I'm convinced this message is actually to get the user to disconnect the power to avoid the battery overheating under heavy load.  Why can't the operating system just disable charging until the battery cools down.

  • Turns out this is hardware failure present from date of purchase.  I should have returned it earlier, but because everyone was experiencing it, and meta had previously suggested it was fixable via update, I waited and am now out of warranty.

    Thankfully I've been given this incredible 'Opportunity'... Email from Meta:

  • I feel they knew about this being a hardware/design fault that affects all units from the very start, but have somehow managed to avoid fixing it, and are now offering customers the 'incredible opportunity' of buying a refurbished unit, that will most likely also have the same issue.

    These forums are full of evidence that it's been an ongoing issue from the start, yet bizarrely they don't take that into consideration when offering a resolution, but rather see it as an opportunity to try and make a new sale!!

    I'll never buy hardware from facebook again.
