quest link artifacting issue

ive gotten back into pcvr again and one thing that ive noticed is that every game for roughly 30 minutes to an hour, i get these weird pixelated lines on the top of the screen/lens. if i ignore them for a bit then they gradually overtake the screen and it just becomes a really pixelated mess, forcing me to restart the link software.

this is a recent issue ive been having, as the last time i played pcvr (albeit a few months ago), i never had this problem and could play to my battery life's content. it's not a cable issue either because both syntech cables i own get the same issue.

ive done pretty much everything to no fix. asw is disabled, im using h264 instead of h265, ive reinstalled the link software multiple times, ive done the cable test and they aren't failing, reset the quest even. someone on similar post said they downgraded their gpu drivers, but that isn't the best permanent solution.

two other possible fixes ive heard of is just disabling link sharpening and sliced encoding, but i heard that disabling them will increase the latency which is something i'd rather not have.

pc specs:
cpu: ryzen 7 5700x3d

gpu: qick 310 rx 6750xt

ram: 2x16gb corsair vengence ddr4 (dual channel, xmp enabled)

storage: 2x 1tb nv2 nvmes

psu: corsair rm750e

os: windows 10 22h2

cables: Syntech Link Cable 16FT, Syntech Link Cable 5m

quest software version: v81 ptc. same issue occured on v79.1034.

    Hi gld4glxck,

Thanks for reaching out about the display issue that you've been facing whilst using PCVR.

We at the Meta Store Support team would love to help you resolve this problem, and get you back to enjoying your precious VR time.

From your description you have already tried the majority of general troubleshooting steps that we would have suggested, we do have one recommendation that you might want to try.

    • Uninstall and reinstall GPU drivers
    1. Close the Meta Quest Link app
    2. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command
    3. Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers
    4. Open oculus-driver
    5. Open the Meta Quest Link app and then try to connect your headset again

More importantly however, is that we would also suggest contact us directly via email at Meta Store Support and we can arrange to collect and view your log files to look into this issue further, to get some clarity on the matter.

    Thanks
