Hello Meta_Paul14,
We understand that you're encountering an error when trying to import photos or videos, and we'd be more than happy to help.
The message "Glasses are in use! Retry import when your glasses aren't in an autocapture session" appears when the smart glasses are actively recording or in automatic capture mode. This indicates that media cannot be imported to the phone's app while the glasses are still engaged in a recording or autocapture session. This feature, found on devices like Meta smart glasses, automatically records footage based on specific triggers or voice commands.
To resolve this issue, the autocapture session on the glasses must be stopped before attempting to import media again. You can stop an autocapture session by saying a voice command such as "Hey Meta, stop autocapture," or by taking off the glasses and closing the hinges.
To import photos and videos from AI glasses, connect the glasses to the Meta AI mobile app on your smartphone. The media will automatically transfer to your phone's photo library via auto-import. You can also manually start the import from the app by tapping "Import" if auto-import is not enabled or has been turned off. For manual transfer without the app, some models may support a USB connection to a computer, allowing you to transfer files manually.
How to automatically import media from your AI glasses:
- Ensure that you have enabled Bluetooth on your phone and paired your glasses and phone using the Meta AI mobile app.
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap
in the bottom right.
- If you have unimported captures on your glasses, an Import button will appear next to Gallery. Tap Import to begin importing media.
We hope this helps!
