Hello iPabloEsteban,
It looks like you're having trouble getting past the "Share Additional Data" screen, we know that can be frustrating, and we're here to help you through it.
Here’s a quick step-by-step that often clears things up:
- Unpair the glasses from your phone via Bluetooth settings. This helps reset the connection.
- Perform a forced restart by holding down the capture button and turning on the power button at the same time. Keep holding until the LED light turns red, that signals the restart is complete.
- Once restarted, try pairing the glasses again through Bluetooth.
This process refreshes the connection and can often resolve the issue. If it doesn’t do the trick, we’re just a message away and happy to keep troubleshooting with you.

That did not work.

MetaStoreHelp I am having the same Issue on a different screen after the software update. I might just go return them. Can you help, I love the glasses…When they work.

You have to make sure you have SCROLLED ALL THE WAY DOWN ("Scroll to continue") before the button will become clickable!
- iPabloEstebanExplorer
That’s the exact issue, you can’t scroll, I think that’s the specific bug, that specific screen doesn’t respond to scrolling touch input. iPad s fine, iPhone 17 pro after the latest app update from Wednesday is not working for me. I am on the iOS 26.1 (unsure if it’s the app or the OS version) it was working fine for me before the app update.

Having the exact same issue.

Hello Jdconelly !
We can see that you're having trouble getting past the "Share Additional Data" screen, we know that can be frustrating, and we would like to look into this issue for you. Therefore please try the following steps:
Fully Charge the Glasses: Make sure the glasses are charged to 100% before attempting setup.Force Restart the Glasses : Place them in the case, close the lid, then press and hold the button on the back of the case until the LED flashes blue.
Reinstall the Meta AI App: Delete the app completely, restart your phone, and reinstall the latest version from the App Store.
Try a Different Device : If possible, try pairing the glasses using another iOS or Android device to see if the issue persists.
Enable All App Permissions : Go to iPhone Settings → Meta AI → ensure Bluetooth, Location, and Notifications are all enabled.
Please let us know how it goes.- FlacaMalaExplorer
The process completes on Ipad. but not on my iphonePro 16. It is updated with the latest software. I have done all the trouble shooting to my Oakleys . Have you guys found the issue ?

I've just picked up my new Meta Gen 2 and also stuck in this same screen.
Attempted to unpair and repair multiple times, deleted app and reinstall, fully charged glasses.....same issue

I’m so glad I found this thread! I’ve been having the same issue. I have successfully set them up on my iPad and my husband’s iPhone. The difference is that MY iPhone is using the iOS 26.1 Public Beta. My hunch is this is a bug between the Meta AI app and the iOS update. I’ve sent this back to Meta as well. Save your headache and pain until they fix this. I’ve spent HOURS pairing, unpairing, deleting, reinstalling, etc. it’s clearly an iOS 26.1 Public Beta issue for me. The only workaround would be resetting my entire phone and hoping I have a backup from before the latest iOS update. I think I’ll wait a bit before I go that route.

Instead of the regular setup, I selected the other option: bypass setup and got through

I’ve now spoken with both Meta and Apple. So far, it seems, the only two options are to wait until there’s an update to the Meta AI app (not a RayBan issue) or resetting the iPhone and restoring from an update prior to the latest iOS update.

Is not the public beta either, I just wiped and reinstalled non beta iOS, downloaded the meta view app as a new install, stuck on the same screen. Seems like a silly bug really, going to play with accessibility settings and see if there is someway to get those share/don’t share buttons to activate.
- TexasInkedProtege
Let us know if that works! That’s a smart workaround.

I had success with restoring the iPhone to the regular version iOS 26.0.1. Did a local backup - encrypt it, to have app paswords saved but be sure, that this is a lot of work anyways. I.e. some apps need to be transferred on a special way like setting up a new phone, hat this with a banking app.

I’m having the same issue. I got it to connect on my IPad as they stated above, but I don’t receive notifications from that. That defeats the purpose of the glasses.

Hi heavensangel924,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

I really wish y’all would say this is a known issue. Many of us have uninstalled, reset, unpaired, re-paired, powered off, reinstalled, reset our phones, turned off beta updates, tried other devices (which work) but are still unable to get past the done/continue screens - there is no ability to ‘scroll down’ or bypass. All three of my Meta RayBans are now set up through my iPad (not ideal and limiting) until this bug is fixed. Apple support says it’s on y'all and your app.
- FlacaMalaExplorer
Any update on this ? Has anyone at Meta acknowledged to worn on a fox? I didn’t spend hundreds of dollars to not be able to use the full features … makes me want to return them 😢
- MarineCorpsDadExplorer
Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly no.
- TexasInkedProtege
I emailed them again and provided the link to this message board. I’ve not received an update/fix. This is obviously a known issue and I’m hopeful an update/bug fix to the app will happen soon. Before my iOS update (when everything worked), the glasses were awesome. I bought another pair and am kind of obsessed with them. Like you, I’m frustrated, but I’m gonna give it another week.
