A way to bring back Oculus Home 2.0?

It's a work in progress, but looks very promising:

Note that this has been shown before:

I have not tried to get it working yet, but I do have access to Home 1.0 - which still is an awesome place to experience - brings back the old memories:

You do need to have the old files to get it working, but these can be found with a little digging on the internet.

Btw, my Home 2.0 looked like this - would love to get back my home:

I saw the post on Reddit, it's amazing, isn't it?😍

They even made it work with the current version of the link app, so it should also work with Quests.

In the second video they used an old version and having a CV1/Rift S was necessary.

I'll never understand why Meta didn't just released - and sold - this as an app, so everyone could use it... without needing a developer account.😒

Agreed, and would not mind paying even like $20 to keep my old home.

The dev wrote to me that he indeed expect that everything will work also on Quest hmds - and no need to reinstall old versions of the Meta Desktop app (which was required by another solution and only worked on Rifts).

Yes, I would have paid for it too... and it would have been easy money for Meta, since everything was already developed.

    Meta missed this opportunity. 🤷‍♀️

RuneSR2 it has been released it now!

I downloaded the tool yesterday and just messed around with the objects from inventory. ❤️

It's working in the current link app and it's also working for Quest users, I used a Quest 3.

Awesome, too much work at the moment, haven't found the time to install it  - but maybe next week. Sounds great that you got it working without too much hassle!

Enjoy it, after you had time to install it.

    Not quite right.

Only if you want your old home back - yours was beautiful btw. 🙂 - but having an old home saved, is not neccessary to use that tool. So, even people who never had an Oculus 2.0 home, can bulid one with it.🙃

I didn't dowload my old homes and just started from scratch with the default one.
