Anyone with a physical disability using Quest for exercise?

Hi, Iโ€™m an adult with cerebral palsy and some balance limitations. Iโ€™m considering a Quest 3 or 3S mainly for exercise, especially lower-body exercise.

Iโ€™m hoping to hear from people with physical disabilities or mobility limitations who actually use Quest for exercise. Iโ€™m especially interested in experiences involving balance, coordination, weakness, limited standing tolerance, seated exercise, supported standing, or modified movements.

What apps have worked well for you? Were you able to adapt the exercises to your abilities, and did the headset track your movements well enough to make the workouts useful?

Iโ€™d really appreciate hearing about real-world experiences before I decide whether buying a Quest makes sense for me.

I'm not sure how suited this would be, but I had fun watching 360 panorama videos of people riding around on motorbikes while I was on an exercise bike. Seeing outdoors while pedalling made it less boring than just looking at my bedroom walls. Although I did have an issue that I kept wanting to lean over as I went around corners. :)

It would probably be good for lower equipment like recumbent bikes or rowing machines.

kojackโ€‹ I use a rowing machine. I tried it and also there is an app I tried but it wasn't great. In my experience when rowing, the extra weight sitting on your face isn't comfortable as your head is moving constantly and it's too sweaty! ๐Ÿ˜ I went back to using the very good rowing videos on YouTube. A big 85" TV in front of you rowing on an alpine lake is perfect! ๐Ÿ‘ I think unless you're playing beat saber etc, the headset only degrades your enjoyment if you're biking or rowing or stepping.  Better off without it. I'm just thinking of you leaning over on the corners! It's a very natural thing to do! I do advise you though, from years of experience, put a big TV on the wall and go for it! Enjoy your workouts!!

Instead of a Quest, I'd recommend a Nintendo Switch with the Ring Fit Adventure game, or any of the other available exercise titles, plugged in to a large screen TV.

Hi AlexExploresXRโ€‹  do you have the Meta Horizon app on your phone?  If so, look at the Fitness & Wellness category - remember, free to install it and you already have an account.  I think the "biggest" app is FitXR which does do full body workouts.

I suppose watching reviews of some of them on youtube to see if what you want is covered is the best bet, but most do have trials.
And remember, there will be many games, casual and energetic, where you can move your lower body around so it doesn't have to be fitness apps which give you what you want.

Big PC, all the headsets, now using Quest 3
