Question

Discord Audio not being recorded using native recording tool

When using the native Discord app on Meta Horizon OS to voice chat during standalone gameplay, audio output from the app is completely stripped out of local system screen recordings and video captures.

Currently, the built-in recorder captures game audio and microphone input, but sandboxes background communication apps, leaving chat audio out of the final video file entirely. This forces users who want to record sessions with friends to rely on complex external setups.

Proposed Solution:

Please add an audio routing setting or toggle in the system recording panel (e.g., "Include Background App/Chat Audio in Recordings"). This would allow users to mix native apps like Discord directly into their local video captures without external editing workarounds.

No one here can help you. Meta staff does not monitor these forums.

Seriously? That sucks…their webpage actually directed me to post here about any feedback/issues on quest 3

Yes, they often send people here when they don't have a solution. It's a never ending circle.

Meta likely can't help because it's likely an app bug. You need to contact Discord Inc support. Here's the website link. Though you probably tried that already. You might have to wait for a fix. Report it as a bug on the bug reporting tool on your headset.
