Game Downloads keep cancelling themselves on Quest 3

hi im having an issue when trying to download asgards wrath 2, im on q3, every time i try to download the game, the download stops and the asgards wrath icon goes back to install, i normally get between 100-600mb when it does this, the highest download i have got to is 18gb, i have restarted the quest and done a factory reset, there is plenty of space and i have tried different wifi networks. i can download and install other games just not this 1.

Our team has informed us this is solved (over all issues with games downloading)

Stuck on installation:

1.Restart the headset

My quest does not want to download apps. If the app is large it will begin the download up untill a certain point and just quit. I have to click the download button again to restart.

This continues to happen with everything i try to download.

I have reset wifi on my headset
I have reset the wifi on my modem and router
Ive turned off my headset
ive factory reset my headset

It first started when i tried to download assassins creed nexus

and now as im trying to download Asgards wrath

Hi +1 for this, I am having the exact same issue and nothing I do fixes it.
Tried signing out and uninstalling Quest phone app, rebooting Quest 3, factory reset Quest 3, switching to multiple different Wi-Fi and absolutely nothing works.

It isn't limited to just Asgard's Wrath for me either, before the factory reset I had 9 apps / games that had updates and none of them would download.
Since the factory reset, nothing will install now because download won't complete.

iv currently tethered my quest to my phones data, its slowly downloading, every now and then i have been switching wifi off and back on so it pauses and resets the connection, so far it hasnt restarted this way. still got 15gb to go, pretty sure it will restart soon. il let you know if it works or not.

**bleep**....I can't even try that because I get charged for tethering to my phone, plus....I still have the issue once this downloads.
They need to sort this asap.
I hope it works for you though and would love to hear how you get on.
Out of curiosity, do you have this issue with other games too?
It's most but not all of my games that are doing this.
Crazy.

Same issue, nothing I do helps, been trying to download constantly since release yesterday. I'm about to give up. I did have this issue also with a few other games like assasins creed nexus, for that I just kept retrying over and over and eventually it finally completed all the way but that was no where near the size of asgards wrath 2. Wish they would do something, its clearly not my internet as I can do everything else (including video conference calls) while trying to download the game. It has to be something on the meta servers.

Oh dear, I'm really sorry to hear that you are going through the same issue too but it's sort of good to know that it is an issue for more than just 1 or 2 of us.
I finally got an email reply from Meta support and the guy has just asked me if it effects only Asgard's or other items too.....and at least on my device, it is more than just Asgard's, Assassins Creed Nexus, Walkabout Mini Golf and other titles just will not download, they all do the same thing where they get to a certain point, freeze at that point for a short while and then the download gets cancelled.

I shall keep you informed if I manage to get anywhere with Meta support on this. 😉

i have just had it happen to demeo as well so not just an asgards wrath issue. mine does exact same it freezes then cancels. its also happening on my quest 2. going to try factory reset that in a bit and see if it still happens. strange to have the same problem on both my devices. maybe its an account issue.

Me too, trying to set the settings so the stupid thing doesn't go off after 4 hours but the display seems to go off immediately after removing he Q3, I'd got to over 15gigabytes downloaded on my cellular data (the only data I have) and the blasted thing reset to zero....

hopefully someone from meta will see this and give us a way to revert to an older version of the os till they get this sorted.

Yeah fingers crossed.
Actually, I will ask the Meta support guy about this very thing once he replies to my last response to him.
I'll point him to this and a few other posts on here about the same issue.

Actually I'm getting 'Headset Wi-fi Connection lost, please go to settings to troubleshoot'

So I think this might be the reason.

Ah maybe, I haven't had that at all so not the case for me, unless it isn't telling me.
But Wi-Fi is perfect here, as is internet connection.

Same issue for me & agree that it affects multiple apps, not just AW2. Some of them do eventually complete if I try installing enough times, but zero chance that will work for AW2 because of the size.

Same problem here. On v60. Started to download last night, got to 6 GB then zero. Now tried again this morning and same thing at 2 GB. Chiming in to get Meta's **bleep**ING ATTENTION!!!

This will be my 3rd day of trying to get any sense out of Meta support on this issue, 3rd day of not being able to download anything to my Quest 3.

Have any of you attempted the WhatsApp route?......it's hideous and I came to the conclusion that I was chatting with bots, 2 nights in a row and all I did was go around in circles with it....getting asked the same questions over and over.

Their support system is absolutely appalling.

It was WhatsApp I used as couldn't find any other options. I'm not sure if it was a bot, but it was heavily scripted, so they didn't offer much beyond what I'd already read (and tried) online.

Honestly I felt like I was going insane as I explained everything in fine detail, 3 times in total regarding the steps I had taken, including factory reset.....and the final question I got asked last night was..."do you think that maybe you dont have enough storage space and need to delete some apps".....I was honestly ready to launch my phone against the wall at that point.

Just incredibly bad support.

Yup. Same issues here. I've lost track of the number of download attempts I've made. It just stops, every single time. Tried all the fixes suggested here with no luck. Disappointed.
