Horizon worlds unable to create new world in the future

I just loaded up horizon worlds and I am unable to make any new worlds I had made over 100vr maps what am I supposed to do with them now?

    I think I read that only existing worlds are supported in VR and new world creation is no longer available.. This is likely just the beginning of the end as I can't see them supporting it much longer anyway. I'm not sure what the situation is with Worlds on mobile.

    I am really upset by this and was not expecting horizon worlds to suddenly refuse to allow me to make a new map. Will I lose all the previous maps I made? I had planned to make new maps in the future as I have already said this news is quite upsetting

    My hobby and lifestyle is mapping world creation if horizon worlds is going to stop working are there any other programs in which I could continue my mapping it is all I wanted to do.

    I tried the rec room also but I couldnt connect to the server is there a simple way I can make my own map its all I do make maps

    Please keep your thoughts to one post rather than making multiples which can be flagged as spam and cause a ban or suspension. To answer your first comment about maps, I simply don't know, others have experienced similar issues. To answer your second comment, I don't know of any other apps on the Quest to do this, maybe someone else can advise you here. As for Rec Room, it was officially shut down by the owners on June 1st 2026, this had nothing to do with Meta but was a decision based on the fact it was losing a lot of money and the developers/owners of the app couldn't sustain it. I suppose if you want some kind of social VR interaction, you could download and use VR chat on your headset. All this should not be a surprise to you. These changes have been public for a number of months now.
