Hello, I have a question, does anyone know if Meta is planning something like a Quest games optimizer. Why is it possible to do it through an external application and not as part of an official update from Meta? Thank Ladislav

According to this article: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/741121407333403/Only apps with “User profile” in their privacy could access your username.But it seems ambiguous to me with this article:https://www.meta.com/en-gb/help/quest/1583346005380795/Does this mean username is ALWAYS shared? Or only apps with “User profile” can access to username, name and picture?

I was having a hard time downloading a specific game and went through all the troubleshooting I could find only to end up by doing a factory reset of the device. I figured that should do it, but after performing the factory reset I brought the system back up and then asked it to download and install all the apps that I had installed previously. This seemed to work great and MANY apps were downloaded and installed (proving that I am logged in and connected properly) but I noticed that a list of apps slowly grew at the bottom of the notification page where it states that it os downloading the app, but there seems to be no progress and nothing happens. Other apps successfully loaded while these notifications stayed and finally all the other apps were successfully loaded. Here is a list of the apps that will not download and install:oathbreakers, Death Unchained, Augmented Empire, virtual desktop, catan vrCan someone help me debug what is going on here? why don't I see why these aren't mak

You are a billion dollar company who regularly gets their lunch eaten by a $20 app (if you're reading this just buy 'virtual remote desktop' and stop using meta). Today you patched airlink so that while it is running you CANNOT leave oculus home. cant double tap the headset for passthrough to the UI, just a message that says "you can resume" but I cant resume because oculus home has crashed for one of the 100's of reasons, but thanks this UI oversight I am trapped in the HMD. Nice job folks. Zero features, zero new QOL tools, zero HMD side debug tools. Nothing of value added, and again a worse experience. So to the 'moderators' whose best advice is submit feedback through the app, i cant it crashes because Meta sucks at their job. 

Hi allI've been using my Oculus Rift happily for some years now but at some point recently it seems that the "homes" that I had built and all the object that I had collected have just vanished.I now have a the "grey field" when I log in to my headset, All the games etc., seem to work okay but I do miss the homes I had built.Is it true that they have all gone for good ?ThanksDavid

so today i was trying to play any games but my region isnt followed so how could i play ?  

I started a trial for the game "prison boss prohibition" and only used 5 minutes, it's been 1 night and it says my trial is up and I can't play it. 

All system messages should include a "do not show again" checkbox and there should be a section in Settings -> Notifications that list the notifications that have been blocked and allow you to unblock them. There are way too many notifications that I get repeatedly, and I do not want to see any more. Like the message telling me that one of my controllers is disconnected when I am playing a game that only needs one controller.

Hi, I don't really know if this is the right topic to publish this into forums, but I wanted to know how to fix this, I was messing around with an old Oculus quest 2 I had from when Oculus was still an independent studio branch (unrelated, but with the most terrible stick drift on both controllers). Then about a month, so or less, can't really remember, whenever I look around, whether fast or slow, or not even looking, I kept hearing this fan type of sound as if an Xbox 360 was loading a game, when I look around fast, it gradually went a bit loud, but when I stop looking around, the whirring goes quiet.How do I make the whirring stop, because I believe it means something bad is going to happen to my virtual reality headset, like overheating, please & thank you!

I purchased several games on the oculus store around 4 years ago. Now I cant even find the store anymore?!How do i play those games? Thanks

How to prevent the oculus program from lauching automatically whem windows starts ?

I get this on a lot of games playing with a Quest 3 via PCVR on Steam where your perspective rotation is inverted (wired or not there is no differance). When using the right joystick when I go to turn/look left in game it looks right and vice versa I turn/look right and it looks left. In games like Half-life Alyx I just remap it and there are no issues. But in so many other titles it is simply not an option which stops me from enjoying a lot of games I want to play (Skyrim VR, Metro Awakening...again on Steam..., etc etc). Is there any fix for this be via the meta app? I have tried DLing countless Steam controller profiles to no avail.

I have a number of 3D videos. Most play as expected but a few won’t convert when playing they just play in the app side by side instead of converting? I am VERY NEW!! Few days so any help or direction would be greatly appreciated thank you and have a great day!!

I was in the Halloween update and I wanted to go back to the invite only update, when I do it updates but stops as soon as it just gets to a single Megabyte. I factory reset my headset, rebooted it, updated and turn my WiFi on and off but nothing worked. I don’t know if it’s the fact I’m on a quest 2 or it’s something else. I have 104 GB left so it’s not anything to do with storage. If you know anything that could help me please tell me.

Hi,I just think it would be awesome if Horizon worlds could be a platform for all VR headsets - So if you have a Pico or a Index, you could still be social with the quest users.Its really that simple - A dedicated app for standalone competitors could be a good look from Meta and they could possition them selves as inclusive and grow their meta world, to beceome the dominant go to for all VR.Best RegardsJeppe JB

This has cost me so many races in le mans ultimate.  It's impossible to see where you're driving, and even more impossible to grab the controller and click OK without pulling over and losing the race.I beg you, please have it disappear as soon as the cable is unplugged, without requiring the user to click OK!!!!!

Past week or so it would jump/jerk all around for 5 seconds and do it just on every new screen.  Like it was loading and then was fine.  But now it does it non-stop.  I have a Wifi 6 connection.  There is no pattern to any specific game/app.  Dedicated router too.  It's unplayable.

I redeemed a bunch of games from horizon+ and now they are constantly trying to auto install, even after i remove them from my library and cancel the download.I redeemed them from the phone app and thats where the issue started I think.Any tips please, this is really annoying. It takes up all my space and ruins my internet speed :(

So I'll start this by saying that I'm both inherently lazy and an early tech adopter - they often go hand in hand.  My Optometrist told me that I need to do some eye strengthening exercises (like can be found at (https://www.optometrists.org/vision-therapy/guide-to-vision-therapy/eye-exercises-you-can-do-at-home/) and I thought to myself - how has this not been gamified?I don't have the time or the expertise to start developing this myself, but wondering if Meta internally developed and hard-bundled this app with the headset, does it become a killer app opening the quest to a wider (lazy) audience like myself?The goal wouldn't be to supplant an optometrist visit - more to gamify the exercises that they give you to do at home (and therefore no regulatory issues).
