Loft : Make the Left Menu Button a Toggle to Close the Loft Panel Without Opening the Apps Menu

Problem
When you press the Left Menu button, it brings up the Loft editor panel. Pressing it a second time (or hitting the small close crosshair) is currently designed by Meta to return you to the "Universal Menu" (the apps menu) rather than completely dismissing the UI, forcing an annoying extra button press to clear your screen.
Suggestion
- When Loft editor panel is open, Left Menu button closes it, dismissing all UI
- If closing the panel with the small crosshair, likewise dismiss the UI, don't open another panel!
It's not just that it takes two button presses to dismiss the UI from the Loft editor panel, it is really confusing because you form a memory of what button brings up what. Left Menu button brings editor panel, Right Menu button brings the apps menu. But now when you press Left Menu button again to try dismiss the panel, it opens the one that normally comes up with the Right Menu button.
If I want the apps menu, I can just press the Right Menu button!
