Meta Move discontinued and how to make your users move away from Quest headsets

The Meta Move app will be discontinued after March, 31, 2025 with the reason noted:

"Move currently relies on legacy technology, which limits our ability to introduce new innovations for Quest users. This transition will allow us to deliver more advanced and exciting features to enhance the Quest experience."

Seriously Meta ? If you remove this app and take away features from your product without providing any other option it will make your product less useful. Move is an important tool, which i personaly use every day. And the reason of the curren app using "legacy technology" does not seem very logical to me either, especially because this would imply that there must be a "non-legacy technology" exising, that could be used instead.

      Is there any way around having to turn the settings on in move after every reboot? Also I turned off updates to keep move. Hopefully we can get something to replace move so I can go back to regular updates although at this point it seems like meta is making the headset worse with every update.

      No 😞 Meta disable it everytime when You go to settings and periodically (in few hours interval).

      I just fired up the Quest Games Optimizer app and the Move app is still showing up in the list of available apps. I'm on V77 PTC.

        What the hell Meta? You're just going to disrespect your users like that? Not even a warning, not even an explanation, not a single drop of care for replacing what to some people could be the only thing that made them purchase your product in the first place. I'm sad I gave you money only for you to repay us like this. It sounds dramatic, but I'm EXTREMELY TIRED of corporations spitting on my face as of late. It's like the pandemic turned off y'all's shame braincells or something. I want a replacement app or my money back.

          Got my headset back running in february 2026 and noted that the app was missing.
          LMAO, zuck can waste 80 billions on that meta horizon lousy project and not keep up such a simple and liked service.
          On this they shove down our throat "new exciting features" NO ONE ASKED.
          FFS fix the quest 3 controllers if you want to waste money on something and keep this app up.

          And to the least, you can always offer people to store the app data LOCALLY on device. This way who wants to keep it can store a copy of the data and keep it working without hogging your servers.

          THERE IS NO VIRTUAL REASON to just remove it and deny access.
          There is virtually NO COST, to let people download it once (million apps downloaded daily) and have their data on-device to keep it going and track their calories and usage.

          Meanwhile the quest 3 UI got all redesigned and NO ONE ASKED ABOUT IT. It gets worse and worse.
