I honestly don’t understand why this feature was removed in the first place. For me, and for many other users, it was one of the main reasons to buy a Meta Quest. Without it, the headset has become largely useless for the way I use it.

The new Anchor feature is not a replacement. I used the Follow Me feature every day while cooking, cleaning, exercising, or doing things around the house. Please consider bringing it back as an optional feature.

Yes, you're right, but it's been gone for quite a while now.

Currently, Meta has shifted its focus to Spatial Windows (introduced in v67/v69 and iterated on since), which allows you to anchor up to six windows anywhere in your room. However, these windows remain fixed to their physical coordinates in space rather than actively tracking with you as you move around.

If you are looking for a workaround to watch media or browse while moving room-to-room, the most common solutions include:

Sizing up a window: Making a window massive and placing it high up or in a central location so it remains visible across a larger physical area.

Third-party apps: Utilizing alternative spatial browsers available on the store or via SideQuest (such as Fluid) that still offer dedicated "follow" or travel toggles.

Hope this can help get the function back for you at least to some extent. 😁
