Please Restore the “Disable Positional Tracking” Option for Motion Sim Rigs

Meta recently removed the ability to manually disable positional tracking on Quest headsets. This creates a major problem for anyone using a motion racing or flight simulator.

When the simulator moves the seat and headset, the Quest interprets that physical movement as head movement and moves the viewpoint in VR. This makes the use of motion rigs with VR impossible

The frustrating part is that the Quest can still operate without positional tracking. If I physically cover the tracking cameras, the headset eventually gives me a “Proceed without tracking” option and my motion rig works correctly.

So the functionality is still there; we just no longer have a normal way to enable it.

Meta, please restore the Disable Tracking / Positional Tracking toggle in Settings. This is a small option that makes a huge difference for motion simulator users.

If you use a motion racing or flight rig with a Quest, please comment/upvote so Meta knows this affects more than one user.

This is a user only forum. There are no Meta staff here, no Meta moderators, no Meta community managers. No point in asking Meta to do anything here.

You should contact Meta through their official website or the Horizon app on your phone.
