Poor performance in wired oculus link

I am using the official fiber optic link cable and have a very solid pc rig (i9 14900k, rtx 4090, 32 gb ram) and oculus link is unstable and has noticable stutters. I’ve messed around with the debug tool to no avail. I see all these videos recommending ~900mbps for encode bitrate but I have to keep mine at 500 just for oculus link to run “ok” wtf is the problem?? ✌️🫩

That's correct. You should keep the encode bitrate at about 450-ish not 900 using cable link. My games look fantastic and play so smoothly on max settings in AirLink/Steam/VD with a bitrate of only about 150-180Mbps on my new PC (Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF, RTX 5080), so there's no need for using over-the-top bitrates. And I'm using an outdated wifi 5 router at that.
