Referred App keeps showing Invalid Link

I'm currently having a problem on any app referral links. It keeps showing me an Invalid Link page regardless of who send me a referral link. I've already tried unlinking my Meta account out of my Facebook account and have tried using private/incognito browser to accept the referral link. Unfortunately, they still gives me Invalid Link page.

Hello everyone,

I observed that fellow moderator ShiroTenko has responded to a few of you already. However, I wanted to create this post and designate it as a solution to ensure that everyone is aware of the information provided by the engineers. While I understand that this is not a solution, it is the best way to guarantee that all users can easily view the post.

The engineers are evaluating changes to the app referrals program. As a result, some randomly selected groups of users may periodically not be able to access app referrals.

These user groups change frequently, and if an offer is not currently available to you that is available to others, this means that offer is not being given to your group at this time. Please keep an eye out for similar options in your group in the future.

Thank you again to everyone who has reported your experiences during these changes. Your feedback is always important to us.

Everytime i open a refferal to to a game i get the message, that the link is not valid anymore.

1. Click on referral link

2. Link pages open with button either to claim 25% or 10% discount

3. Click on the discount button (every discount button i tried)

4. Message "Link is not valid anymore."

Afaik there is no such thing like a limit how often you can buy a (referral-link)- discounted game. Or is there a limit that is not communicated?

Hi there, Amazing74. App referrals are a great way to earn some extra store cash and discounts. We know how important it is to our users to be able to share app referrals with each other. That being said, we wanted to share some info from the terms of service for the referral program.

"Limit to one Discount per App: if a Friend accepts a referral from an Advocate for a particular App, the Friend will not be able to activate a Discount for the same App referred by a different advocate as long as the former Discount is still active. This limitation will remain in effect until the seven-day period is completed. If the original Discount code has expired after seven days, the Friend will be able to accept a new referral for the same app."

Having the same problem here will not accept any link even if posted it acquired under an hour ago will kit work the links are in date

I am having this problem too, and after discussing it with MetaQuestSupport (who was helpful and responsive!) they recommended I submit a bug report, which I did. So for anyone coming here with this issue and seeing this topic, hope this gets fixed for us!

I am having exactly the same issue, I chatted with support this morning and they were unable to fix, they have sent it onto their 'specialize team's who will contact me by email, not heard anything yet. Super annoying, I want a new game 😭

Update:

I've been going back and forth with MetaQuestSupport for the past 5 days and they keep on iterating that the problem was that I've used an expired or used link over and over again. However, this is not the case on my end as I have requested new referral links from different people on different apps and I still just get an Invalid Link.

At this point, I feel like I'm just talking to an AI bot over and over again and I hope some of you who have the same problem can give light or solution to this problem.

Hi.

As much as I would like to accept the answer, this still doesn't answer why my friends who are in the same country as I am can accept 25% discount codes when I get Invalid Links.

Sadly I am encountering exactly the same result as you, last I received from them was asking how many times my friend's link has been used as they can only be used three times. You'd think they would be able to look at the account and see this information for themselves, the answer is never, and it doesn't matter because NO app referral links work... So getting nowhere too ☹️ very slowly...
