Referred App keeps showing Invalid Link

I'm currently having a problem on any app referral links. It keeps showing me an Invalid Link page regardless of who send me a referral link. I've already tried unlinking my Meta account out of my Facebook account and have tried using private/incognito browser to accept the referral link. Unfortunately, they still gives me Invalid Link page.

Hello everyone,

I observed that fellow moderator ShiroTenko has responded to a few of you already. However, I wanted to create this post and designate it as a solution to ensure that everyone is aware of the information provided by the engineers. While I understand that this is not a solution, it is the best way to guarantee that all users can easily view the post.

The engineers are evaluating changes to the app referrals program. As a result, some randomly selected groups of users may periodically not be able to access app referrals.

These user groups change frequently, and if an offer is not currently available to you that is available to others, this means that offer is not being given to your group at this time. Please keep an eye out for similar options in your group in the future.

Thank you again to everyone who has reported your experiences during these changes. Your feedback is always important to us.

Meta support closed my ticket over this issue that I reported to them and they gave me $10 credit.

Unfortunately, this has started to happen to me. Any game, any app, any referral link comes up saying "Invalid Link - This link is no longer valid or has been entered incorrectly."

Worked fine about a month ago but now constantly getting Invalid link.

So disappointing that Meta doesn't seem to care about this issue!

I am entering now in the world of vr I already watched some videos year ago and I am deciding to buy a Meta Quest 2 but before doing it I am trying all the referral link but same invalid link support did not help me at all, I guess when I buy the quest 2 I should send to people the link, seems Meta is doing some fake advertising I hope the team does something about this

I just recently purchased a used Quest 2 and my referral links aren't working either. I'll be contacting meta as well and I suggest more people to do so.

I opened a ticket about this with Meta. They have just responded...

"Pertaining the error you experienced, it happened because we are evaluating changes to the App referrals program. As a result, some randomly selected groups of users may periodically not be able to access App referrals"

They gave me store credit and completely ignored the original point the ticket was opened (not being able to use referral links) and closed the ticket. Such a poor customer service experience!

Anyone who finds the thread because they have having the same issue, don't be fooled by the fact this has been marked as 'resolved'. It isn't resolved and Meta are completely ignoring it.

i have been in contact with a few game developers, that had no idea this was happening. They mentioned they will discuss with meta. In the next development meeting .

I would ask anyone else to step forward and post on this thread. As I supplied them with is thread link and it will be brought up during that time. Thanks

I am in the same boat. Invalid link. Everytime as long as I am logged in...

Tried to contact support, but they keep asking me the same skripted info everytime I try to explain my issue.

I even asked if I am speaking to an ai, only to get the same massage again. Just from a new support minion. Thanks for nothing!

I think the test group thing is BS. Its not fair. I've spent almost $2k games. Now i don't have money to spend on video games. It at least makes me feel better to buy them with a little discount. Now i'm only purchasing games that are on sale. New games come out so slowly on here at this point i've purchased all the games i'm in interested in. All thats left are games that are okay and i can't/don't want to spend full price on those. Its been a while since i've been able to use a discount. Can they change their test group already? I'm really disappointed in meta quest. I love the set, but the lack of new games and now this. I might sell mine and get a different brand.

While I can refer Meta Quest 3 games to friends from my phone app, Rift games don't show up on my phone and the PC app for Rift games don't have option for referral. Can't we refer Rift games to friends?

I'm not sure, what's going wrong with your referrals.

As you can see, if I go to my referral section in the phone app, it also shows Rift games to refer.

I no longer see sales, and 25% off referral links no longer work for me? This just started happening recently and others have complained about the same thing. This is not regional, I'm in Ottawa Canada and others here have no issues.
