TerroRift Demo v0.1



Well this is my first project using unity and as a "Game Developer" i am just a web developer but i bought a devkit 9 month ago and decided to make something.

I was inspired by dreadhalls for me one of the best horror demos for the oculus, so after playing it i got some ideas and started the project 2 weeks ago. This is an early demo, i dont know if i will add more things (may be better AI and some random things) .

Please give me your feedback because is difficult to get scared by my one ideas :P i got some friends that acted like betatesters and i made them scream a littlebit. You can check their reactions in the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/terrorift

The Goal in the Game is to get the 7 piano scores, play the piano and escape from the Castle / Dungeon.

I only tested the windows version, let me know if you test it on Mac.

    uyilan, Many Thanks for the Feedback! hahaha i imagined your friends getting scared i i was with a smile in my face! :D

    Yes many of the scares are scripted, it would be nice a good mix of scripted scares and scares that came from random generated things, that way i will also get scare in my one game because i wont know where the fucking monsters are :P, but i agree in having the best first user experience and that its one of the main goals of this short demos, thats why i didnt posted any gameplay video, just people getting scared. I Hope you finish the game and get to play the full song in the piano :P

    great atmosphere, I liked the sounds you used for the creatures... especially the "peg-legged meat monster" lol
    the accompanying sound you had with that creature and the music, well played sir!

    well done and thank you for this little slice of horror pie for the rift! :)

    hahaha yes the "peg-legged meat monster" Sound scares even me i couldnt stand it the first time i putted all together! i found it by mistake and i thought that this freaking sound was amazing! Thanks for the feedback!

    very nice, that was really intense! I felt the atmosphere was much creepier than in dreadhalls, to the point where neither running away nor staying was an option :D well done! the characters and sounds are pretty neat, too. independent head movement would be useful, I think. Keep playing with sounds, thatll be cool, and keep the narrow and freaky feeling ;)

    Looki! Thanks for trying it man! love to see that you like it and yes i should have added more sounds, the thing is that i kept getting new ideas and never finish the game so last weekend i decided to "finish it" and post it as it was :P

    hello you send me a comment any time after al a video that I post on my youtube channel.
    Your game is excellent, better than dreadhalls!
    If you are a day to make a sequel or another horror game, I'd try it in advance just like your friends, it'll be super cool if it's possible.
    Everything is great in the game and I'd like if you made ​​the developed, you add a chainsaw noise if possible, I think it's super creepy.

    Thanks for your comments, i am thinking instead of adding more things to this make like a new level called TerroRift "Deep Inside" it will be when you complete this level and after playing the piano, if i make it, it will be great to have you as a betatester and giving me new and fresh ideas! :)
