You can use a standard credit card to buy DLC (add-ons, expansions, or in-game content) on the Meta Horizon Store.

When buying a DLC, the store treats it just like buying a full digital game. While Meta does offer "Quest Cash" (store credit/gift cards), it is not required.

Here is how it works for standard payments:

  • Accepted Payment Methods: Meta accepts standard Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards (both credit and debit), as well as PayPal.
  • Where to add it: The user can link their credit card directly to their Meta account via the Meta Horizon mobile app, through a web browser, or directly inside the headset settings under their wallet.
  • Split Payments: If someone does happen to have a small amount of Meta store credit but it doesn't cover the full cost of the DLC, the store will let them use up that credit first and charge the remaining balance straight to their linked credit card.
