ovr-platform-util reporting "A network error occurred. The request will be retried."

Heya,

 

My teammates and I have been encountering an error when uploading our builds. The utility keeps spamming that:

"A network error occurred. The request will be retried."

 

It seems to be working in spite of these messages, albeit quite slowly.

 

I see there are older posts with similar issue, but were seemingly resolved. Is anyone else having this problem?

    I have the same issue but cannot see how to write a support ticket. That link goes to a maze of questions that seem end user targeted and nothing i click gets me to the point i can actually write my issue down. Can i have a direct link to a support ticket or can you tell use the solution to this issue as it seems to be a common problem.

    Screenshot below. Cmd line says:

    "Validating build...
    A server error occurred. The request will be retried.
    A network error occurred. The request will be retried."

    If left alone, it retries many times, repeating the last line.

    The command i give is: ovr-platform-util upload-quest-build --app-id *** --app_secret *** --apk ***\test.apk --channel alpha

     

    Note, i have another project that works fine.

    I'm getting this same error.  Any fix for this?

    We are having the same problem, while uploading an app by using both the Oculus Developer Hub  and the Oculus Platform Utility  even after updating the utility. It worked once, though, with a previous compilation, so we don't know what to do. Please, help!

    Same issue here, did someone figure out a solution? Tried to update the hub, and utility tool but still nothing

    In our case, the client that setup the app had not chosen Oculus as the app type. Stupid mistake, horrible error message.

    Yes had this issue as well, managed to upload however by running a different version of the ovr-platform-util.exe located in Assets > Oculus > VR > Editor > tools.

    Running this executable via the command line still produces the "A network error occurred. The request will be retried." messages but the retry attempts completed the upload.

    (Note: If using the ovr-platform-util.exe via the command line the uploaded filename specified in the --APK parameter is case sensitive)
