Need help purchasing Elite Dangerous and Half Life Alyx

I desperately need help purchasing Elite Dangerous and Half Life Alyx.

Half life Alyx is a steam exclusive game, so if you have trouble purchasing it, you should ask on steam not in a Meta forum.

While Elite Dangerous does appear in the Meta store, I can only get to it via google. The store's own search can't see it. Considering that and that it's the 2022 legacy version 3.8 of the game (no new content, no community goals, no new ships, can't go on foot), the reason it isn't purchasing correctly might be that it's not really supposed to still be available.

For the full Elite Dangerous experience, it's better to buy the Elite Dangerous Deluxe edition. It comes with the base game and the Odyssey expansion, which is the newer version of the game. This way you'll be on the live servers, not the old legacy server.

Steam, Epic and Frontier all sell it. Although currently the Frontier store is way cheaper, they sell the deluxe edition for a third of the price of Steam or Epic. (For me, it's $12au on Frontier, $36au on Steam and Epic)

No matter where you buy it, all of them work the same with a Rift or Quest headset, there's no advantage to having the Meta store version.

For Halflife Alyx, as others have said it is a Steam exclusive. You can't buy it on the Meta store. But it still plays on Meta devices.
