problem quest 3

Hello,

For the past few days, I’ve been having a serious performance issue in VR with my Quest/Meta Link.

In VR, I get heavy stuttering and freezes, while the PC works perfectly fine on a regular monitor and games remain smooth.

I also completely lose the VR video stream after around 5 to 10 minutes, and sometimes it happens almost immediately after starting VR. When this happens, the VR display/Link connection is lost even though the PC itself continues to work normally.

My setup:

RTX 4070 Ti

Windows 11 PC

Meta Quest using Link

The problem only occurs in VR, not on a regular screen.

I’ve already performed quite a few tests:

Windows system repair/check → everything OK

Hardware checks → nothing abnormal found

Tried different graphics settings

Disconnected a small secondary display

Restarted the PC after disconnecting it

Tried different VR configurations

The problem is still there.

The strange thing is that everything was working perfectly before. The issue appeared recently, without any hardware changes.

At this point, I suspect the problem could be related to Meta Quest Link, the Meta software, USB/video streaming, or GPU video handling, but I haven’t been able to identify the cause.

Is anyone else currently experiencing the same issue, especially with an RTX 4070 Ti or a similar setup?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Sorry you're having performance issues with Quest Link 😔

Try these 3 things that usually fix it:

    1. Set Oculus Debug Tool to 72Hz and 1.0x resolution

    2. Disable ASW in Debug Tool

    3. Roll back GPU driver if you updated recently

Also check if your PC is using the dedicated GPU for Oculus.exe

Let me know if this helps!
