Question

Anyone know much about keyboards?

Currently using a piece of crap after my zboard packed up 12 month ago. My parents did not know what to get me so asked them to get a corsair vengeance k95 as was a good price (70 quid)

Do you folk reckon a good mechanical keyboard makes a difference for gaming?

    Maybe a Space-cadet keyboard

It's the way Emacs was meant to me used (and why it's so inconvenient to use today).

Mechanical keyboard? Maybe I should find a way to hook up my old IBM PC/XT Keyboard to USB... I mean... it is solid enough to end lives with sheer cranial blunt force trauma, just wipe away the sticky bits and it's as good as new to be used for games that can work around the three simultaneous keypress limit... I mean... or so I've  heard. .. ××::Shifty eyes::××

Thanks guys. Mine is or will be the older non rgb one. A bit worried about the state of the leds but its too late now. If any fail i will return it just before warranty ends

For what it's worth, I haven't had any problems with the LEDs in two years with mine (non-RGB, all red LEDs).

To make it a lil bit quieter you can buy a set of keyboard o'ring dampeners, I have them on a mx red switches, doesn't impact negatively how the key behaves.
